And you are complaining I bought a old car for my girl in Australia.

She got a 2014 Mazda 3 2.0L with 6 spd manual.  She love the manual gear,  the steering is heavy and has a lot of feel, Handling is also very good.   I drove it when I was there last Dec.

She don't like auto car.

Best decision, you won’t get anyone trying to borrow the car.

Other than the husband who may be into cars, most of the time it's the housewives and taitais driving the X5s Q7s GLEs Bentaygas...you think they can appreciate meh

The most challenging real life scenario application of premium RWD AWD is most likely Raffles City or Funan carpark la for those tai tais...or trying not to mount the curb when parallel park. Joke sia...

Totally agreed. Yet to spend 600 plus on a faulty oil valve (only use is to restrict the oil flow for quicker warm up) that is buried inside 5he oil sump. How bl🤔🤔dy stupid the German engineers can be to put an unreliable 20 dollar part in a place that requires a few hours of labour to replace?

PS. I don't warm up. Just go. Car moves within 2 seconds of me starting the engine. If spoilt then repair. So far so good.

i recall spending 1.4k to replace the plastic gear guide on a selespeed. it caused the car to be unable to engage any gear and basicaly stall on the road waiting to be tolled to workshop.

so not limited to germans and they already did it decades before.

Mazda has one of the best handling among Japanese car.

So that those new CX60 with RWD, double wishbone suspension likely we won't get it here.  Even here the price will be crazy.

Yes... I call it the japanese conti. But with the newest Mazda 3 that uses rear torsion beam now, handling is still good but loses to its predecessor with multi-link rear suspension.

yes, can feel the difference between a cold and warm gearbox

on the left is the ATF temperature, it warms up slower than the engine oil

Interesting! In my Mazda, ATF warms up faster than EO. In fact, one day I drove from home to somewhere in JB, the EO temp never surpassed ATF temp.
