I use quite often leh. Cos my car is washed every few months. Some dirt buildup on the windscreen is unavoidable.

Like right now, there are streaks across cos even my wiper can't clean off the dirt properly since no recent rain.

I get irritated when I look at the dirt streaks, but that is still not a strong enough motivation for me to clean the windscreen and the wiper blade yet [laugh]

Last time when you go to top up petrol at petrol kiosk, the attendant would clean your car windscreen for you. Think now they don’t do it anymore now.

I polish my windscreen once a year.

When rain the water will bead and roll off

I only swipe to clear view

If kena sprinkle. I will also swipe.

When I get home I use cloth to wipe the windscreen.

Never change any wiper blades in my close to 30years of driving. All original. My current car 8 y.o. still using original blades and swipes cleanly.

During last cycle, I used a spreadsheet using LTA's vehicle age distribution data and COE renewal data to predict the pipeline of future deregistrations.

I asked ChatGPT this time round. Taking into account current quota, LTA remaining injection programme (from bought forward future COE), age-distribution pipeline, future demand and assuming a 6-month lag for 60-70% deregistration/ recycling and the prediction is for COE quota to peak in 2028.

Just for fun.

Yeah the lag a bit more now as they use average of 1 year dereg for the next quarter quota.

Do you use Rain-X for glass? Today I was at Caltex to buy a bottle of Techron Fuel System Cleaner. Saw Rain-X on the shelf and hoot a bottle for $13. Opened it and I smelt alcohol. Wondering if it is safe to use on tinted windscreen and tinted wing mirrors.  If not, then I will use on shower stalls, taps and the tiles so that easier to clean soap suds.

Rather than Rain-X, I add SONAX wiper wash to wiper washer tank.

It helps to reduce

I wash my wind screen and car using this Thailand car wash product which is commonly sold in SPC station. Orange color. It leaves a waxy coating and whenever it rains, the water float on top. 👍

Yes, have been using it for many years. Got a karosene smell. Don't add too much, just a capful for half a pail of water. Spray down the entire car to wash away dirts first before you wipe down using this.
