BTW, Comptech had just added an instruction to ICEBOX users recommending them to cut a hole in the splash guard so that cool air get sucked into the inlet !!!!

So guess you're not that far off then. [thumbsup]

Actually the best way, which me and my friends use to do is to remove the headlight and port a piping from there. [laugh]

Uhhh??? Wah.. adds a whole new meaning to bug eye [laugh][laugh]

there's only one problem, the fans are not splash proof, if waters gets in sweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gifsweatdrop.gif

In all likelihood, will short out the fan, and then end up as an obstruction to the airflow. [laugh]

so when do you want to come to my 'off site' office so we can have a good look at the location for your CAI, or maybe we can do it on this Friday night sly.gifsly.gif

This period quite full house during the day lah... meetings after meetings, including over lunch.

Nope. I mean the headlight. We dun do it for long run, just a short sprint out in the afternoon. Remove headlight, extend piping out of headlight area until the open pod filter is outside the bonnet. [laugh]

You might as well install a proper CAI except mount it the other way around - instead of going down point up, and cut a hole in the bonnet to fit [laugh][laugh] sort of like those really heavy duty 4x4 trucks with snorkels for air intakes so that it can run across rivers.

I wonder if anyone ever thought of using TEC on their piping......

Sorry.. TEC as in thermal coating ? Know some people actually stick this thermal shield material onto the airbox.
