BanCoe Hypersonic April 23, 2018 Share April 23, 2018 (edited) it was donkey years back from a hardware shop in King Georges Avenue .... I think most big shops sell it and what i like is the oil comes out sparingly and good control ... i think this thing should last a life time and even pass it on to the next Gen; I actually put in engine oil (usually some balance of previous servicing which I did donkey years back and still never changed the reservoir; which I use on my door hinges; aluminum windows hinges; metal gate hinges; warehouse steel door (sliding type) and still never finish.... as you can see in the photo its so oily and dirty .... never rusts too ; WD 40 is just temporary and evaporates and water washes it off and need more regular servicing whereas this one intervals is lesser (I'm talking of outdoor gates in rain/run) Where to get this? Fitvip Supersonic April 23, 2018 Share April 23, 2018 (edited) WD40 is actually not a grease, I prefer liquid grease. WD stands for "water displacing" and its main use is as a solvent or rust dissolver. The lubricant-like properties of WD-40 come not from the substance itself, but from dissolving components. And the effect doesn't last. WD-40 can be a good substance to start with — it can help clean up rust or other grime.Mar 9, 2012 Edited April 23, 2018 by Fitvip

Usually fit up with SAE40 (probably equivalent to 10W-40) mineral lubricant that army supplies in large 20l barrels.

V shiok to spray and watch the grime loosen. But I will usually follow up with singer oil to ensure some more long-lasting lubrication.
