Just sharing, my friend brought his new M6 wagon to Malaysia over the long weekend. His istop stopped working at the causeway jam on Monday and didn't work the next day either. But it resumed working on Wednesday.

thank you very much for the information. after 150km mileage of driving, the i-stop manage to reappear. yes, i suspect the battery residual is low and need time to recharge.

you can also read your manual.. it states the conditions for the istop to function..

I have to say it's my fil remark. His bro drives e c180..

 

The styling of the m2 doorsare sloping down. Not the typical sstraight lines in most cars.

 

And the rear Windowsare sslightly slanted up. Giving a very classy look to the car body.

The hud is immensive.. The driver is not distracted by the gauges all over the place.

 

The aircon vents are very ddifferentin design as compared to the passe straight line slots which to me appear very ddate.. IIt's also very minimalisti. I like this fact that iit's very clean withlittle knobs. No clutter...

 

THereis a sport mode button to flick up of u need to revy machine and a commander knob is there to control the lcd screen. I tthinkk all conti have this knobs in e centre console.

 

The m2 has won many awards for its design in jJapan.

 

IIt's just my 2cents. I like the buildof the whole car. Even the doors are very solid. Closing them is very different ffrom typical jap cars... I'msurprised there aain'tmore on the road now..

Maybe different build.. M2 here is from Thailand or JP?

above 100km the wind noise is very loud.. at first i thought i never wind up the window completely..

all i can say its more conti than some entry level contis c180 like merc..

 

honestly... the design and features will put some of the jap brands to shame...

wow congrats on getting your car! i went to test drive and i agree with you that it's extremely well styled and really exudes presence on the road! very impressive outside and inside and the drive is quite engaging. If it's real world FC can approach it's claimed FC then I would say it's arguably the best supermini in town as of this moment. Packed with features. only downside is slightly expensive for a car with comparatively lower OMV.

Mazda recalling 1.6 mln vehicles over exploding airbags

Japanese automaker Mazda said on Friday it was recalling another 1.6 million vehicles equipped with airbags at risk of injuring or killing passengers, bringing its global total to an estimated 2.02 million.

The firm said its latest recall included 465,000 vehicles in the United States and 76,000 in Japan for the model years 2003 through 2008, but did not disclose where the remaining vehicles were sold.

The announcement marked the latest chapter in a snowballing crisis for Tokyo-based airbag supplier Takata which last month agreed to double a US recall to a record of nearly 34 million vehicles.

The defect -- thought to be linked to a chemical propellant that helps inflate the airbags -- can cause them to deploy with explosive force, sending metal shrapnel hurtling toward drivers and passengers.

At least six deaths and scores of injuries have been linked to Takata-made airbags in cars made by almost a dozen automakers including Honda, Toyota, General Motors and BMW.

Mazda's expanded US recall covers the Mazda6 for the model years 2003 through 2008, the RX-8 from 2004-2008, the Mazdaspeed6 for 2006-2007, and pickup truck Mazda B-series from 2004-2006.

Shares in the Mazda were 1.05 percent lower at 2,689 yen in afternoon trade Friday, while Takata lost 1.75 perent to 1,346 yen.

Considered several cars (swift sport, jazz, K3 and mazda 3) before deciding on mazda 2 :)

NEw Mazda 3 owner. Drove 130km only so far. Average fc 6.8L/100km. Mostly on city roads and seldOm on highway. I guess after a few more hundreds km the fc can come lower. 6.8is not bad for a new car I think.

 

Also, new Mazda really give me confidence when turning. So much better than my old civic. Wind noise also much lower than my old car.

Yes i have read it. But it doesn't state when the istop will reappear again. There are many possibilities that it might not work but it is not informative enough to tell us when it will work again. Best if the manual for istop give some troubleshooting guides

I just bought a blue Mazda 5 from eurokars. Got free gifts like the reverse camera, pioneer avh2650 and solar film. i asked for discounted price but that time, it was already $8K off the original price. Bought it for $126,888 with trade in of my previous car. Good thing is my previous car is going to be scrapped in June this year and i got to overtrade it by parf value + $6K overtrade discount.

 

The sad part is, when i got the car, the interior and exterior was dirty with dust and the wheel alignment was'nt done properly. It kept steering to the left. I informed them but need to wait till my first car service to rectify the wheel alignment. After sales service to me is very important but ..bRO W

Bro, what is the price of the car without the trade in price of your price ? any issue wih the car so far... abit worried with cost of servicing and wear and wear and tear parts of Mazda 5. I got a demo Mazda 5 but I feel that I should have bargain better for my current car only parf value +2k overtrade!!

Currently noticed that my family's Mazda 5 having quite an annoying vibration when it is idling in park, this is happening when mileage is only 5000km, not sure if it's normal...

"Skyactiv" engine are a bit rough at idling....depends on how bad,send in to the agent for check.
