Leo72 6th Gear June 14, 2016 Share June 14, 2016 HR-V basic package does not have boot light. Only premium model has. But all Vezel regardless basic or premium would come with boot light installed. That really pisses me off as KM wanna maximise profit and do away with essential thing. Just like what BM did to Vios as they did not come with aircon filter and its tray right from the start. This is business world, who dun want to maximise their profit when it comes to business. The issue is business ethic, some bosses believe in making the right amount of profit and give their customers the best bargain and some bosses are all about their own pockets, must fill them thick thick. Just like some people, making millions per year still not enough and for some making enough to bring foods to the table plus a holiday trip per year for the family is enough. Do the statement making millions per year still not enough sound familiar? ↡ Advertisement

fxsg123 1st Gear June 14, 2016 Share June 14, 2016 The Honda sensing is optional, not Standard. So the PIs are bringing in one model with Honda sensing and one model without the Honda sensing. Some PIs told me sensing will increase omv by a few thousands so pricing more exp. Any review on actual road? I cant find alot of info online, i wonder how its activated and how it trigger? Some PI also told me the language will be Japanese so not very useful unless one understand japanese.
Muser 4th Gear June 14, 2016 Share June 14, 2016 I wonder if the parallel importers play punk on the tax declaration. I also cannot understand how a better equipped car can have a lower OMV. It could simply be a matter of importing a bare-bones car and installing everything locally. Afaik, OMV is based purely on car invoice when it arrives here. And it's not just a PI thing. Motor Image famously does this with Subaru. This doesn't necessarily apply to just locally-sourced OEM parts such as parking sensors, and HUs from Elegant Auto for Hyundai/Nissan and from Tomo-CSE/Eurostyle for Kia. Even factory-original parts (eg, from Japan) can be shipped separately and installed here, in order to shave a bit more off OMV and keep ARF down. Actually our Vezel should has the voice control HU. (I can go take up jap course), auto folding mirror. 3 usd inlet. Audio steeling control. I have done the latter 3 locally. Excluding leather seats, HU and reverse sensors and camera. Even if Kah's HRV comes in with leather seats, HU reverse sensors & camera, I'm still not sure how the lack of another 6 airbags, safety features, newer engine would cost more. Yes, Motor Image is very famous for doing that with Subaru. Helps to bring the costs down overall. Which is a good thing for us consumers.
Lamboluver Neutral Newbie June 14, 2016 Share June 14, 2016 Is the auto idling start stop bad for the engine? Would it stress the starter motor and battery, since it start stop so many times in a trip and battery has to take the load of all the electronics. Should I mod it to default off? Would it stress the starter motor and battery, since it start stop so many times in a trip and battery has to take the load of all the electronics. Should I mod it to default off?It uses the capacitor in the boot to power the car when the car is in the "stop" state. Not the battery in engine bay. It uses the starter motor to restart the engine and honda says that they have designed the starter in consideration of this system. If your car is affected by recall, advised not to use start-stop system for now till it is rectified. orangemonkey 3rd Gear June 14, 2016 Share June 14, 2016 u got same scenario too? Had try slower to shift..the click sound reduce..thank..but u face same situation? Yes. When I switch from P to R after I start the car. I realise after car is started, the brake can go down more, need to step further all the way before you move the gear. If not there will be a worrying sound from the gear box. Talking about shifting gear, so far have not try shift from D to S.... need to step on brake to shift or just shift??? You definitely need to step on brake fully before shifting the gear.

Audio steeling control. I have done the latter 3 locally. Vtec is engine dependant. Talking about shifting gear, so far have not try shift from D to S.... need to step on brake to shift or just shift??? From D to S no need step brake to shift. If you're moving try to release accelerator before shifting. That's what I did. Never tried shifting to S while stepping on accelerator when moving. Do note that RPMs will rise the moment you engage S. Also noted that for roughly same amount of heavy throttle pressure (not full throttle but close to full throttle) in eco mode and non eco mode at same speed around 80km+/h, I saw roughly 500+rpms difference. 5500-6000. Maybe it's me stepping harder. Sport mode acceleration is pretty fun till you get numb of it Edited June 14, 2016 by K20VTEC

K20VTEC 2nd Gear June 14, 2016 Share June 14, 2016 u got same scenario too? Had try slower to shift..the click sound reduce..thank..but u face same situation? Yes I faced the same situation at the start when I collected the car. There's a slight like click / jerk when the shifter enters P even though I am stopped when I shift too fast. I now try to shift the gears slowly be it whether early in the morning when starting up the car / parking. Then I read on the facebook group that quite a number of new owners are encountering this too and the more senior owners are advising to come to a stop fully and shift slower.
