If the base cost is 20.5k, this will be the calculation

OMV = 20,500

ARF = (1.0 x 20000) + (1.4 x 500) = 20,700

Excise Duty = (0.2 x 20500) = 4,100

GST = (0.07 x (20500 + 4100)) = 1,722

Total = 47,022 (This is the cost of the car before CEVS rebate)

If the dealer is selling at 53,000 and CEVS rebate is 10,000

Their margin will be (53,000 - (47022 - 10000)) = 15,978

But also take note of the stuff they give u, car will come without head unit, reverse cam, leather seat, cae cam etc

All this will be fitted locally, so you subtract accordingly.

Hihi, anyone can advice me how come hydrid x pricelist doesnt match above foumla when comparing to gasoline vezel x?

Hydrid X:

OMV = 24,000 (one mointoring)

ARF = (1.0 x 20000) + (1.4 x 4000) = 25,600

Excise Duty = (0.2 x 24000) = 4,800

GST = (0.07 x (24000 + 4800)) = 2016

** CEVS rebate for hydrid x i got it from earlier poat in this forum

After Cevs rebate = (56416 - 30000) = 26,416

Question) Isnt 26,416 alot cheaper than 37,022? Then how compare pertrol and hydrid price different is so much?

Avergae Vezel x hydrid now is $110 as compare to $10X for petrol.

The CEVS rebate which is supposed to lower your ARF goes into the dealers pocket. For some Honda models, this is $30k rebate with min $5K ARF. That's the reason why I gave up buying Hybrid as I refused to let them tok me carrot. Some dealers offered me Hybrid S at $113K GCOE while Hybrid X is $108K then.

Do you realize Hybrid Z is not in many PI stock list? 钱做坏, Buddy.

Same same here... While I appreciate the knowledge gain about LED vs Halogen, I am always amazed by the energy level of our bro/sis here for online debate. My thought is if a person wants to use CRT or LCD monitor, it's his or her preference as long as the display serves him well and he happy can liao loh. [drivingcar]

Life is very simple but in MCF, constructive discussion often spiral into a bar fight... :a-shoot:

This is life in mcf. That is why we have mod here to control the situation before it get out of hand (keyboard). Hahaha

Unfortunately coffin men in penang lane holidaying not sure where about now.

If you here long enough..go look at kimmichi vs sushi thread. Conti vs non conti. When come to car is very apparent many here take it very personally. Is a big item to many. Also assuming huge loan. I always stress car is not for status. Is merely a form of transportation. Do not overspend. Get 2nd hand, renew coe or buy new whether 200k..100k.. 50k..don't take loan. Spend within your mean. No point to get agitated and personal.

HAHAHA

We are absolutely in the same camp about car man.. To me, it's just a overpriced tin can with four wheels. In countries where cars are not heavily taxed (US, AU), I hardly see people fix body kit or mod exhaust to increase 2 HP. In SG, we over pay so much yet all the silly money spend to make a 1.5L car zoom like 3.0L.

Maybe your English is bad, I said International standards meaning standards which are recognized outside Singapore and set by own countries like US, JP and Euro I never said that it was a UNIFIED International standard and stop dissing off LTA with no proper basis. Prove to me that LTA is not competent when it comes to car testing and approvals.

I think is already proven, just read the testla news that has made into an international joke on the link below. :a-m1524:

As more cars need some repairs it will be interesting to see how the PIs respond to their warranty claims.

Hope it works out.

So fast? Did you add any mod?

Finally recevied a letter from my PI on the recall...but i would always take warranty by PI as a pinch of salt. Edited by Andyngps

Car should not be a symbol for status. Yes vezel feel like tin can. Infact worse than vios my opinion. Don't shoot me. Haha I still like my Vezel for her space, low petrol consumption and external shape. So glad to see so many vezel on the road. This mean it was the right decision made. Hahaha

Car should not be a symbol for status.

My relative lives in a 3-storey bungalo that he built from scratch; in addition, he own easily 5 properties. He and his wife shares a Nissan Sylphy 1.5L and both dress quite 'lao kok kok' but they are very generous folks.

Never judge a book by its cover...  [thumbsup]

Neutral Newbie

How many of us doing regular maintenance of spare tyre? I don't know.

Without maintenance, it is as good as no spare tyre.

Very well said. The spare tyre is also as good as it is properly maintained. I had a flat tyre once and my spare was equally almost flat as I did not maintain it. Luckily the petrol kiosk was like less than a km away.

My car is 6 months old. Diagnostics revealed that satellite sensor for all the airbags in the car is faulty. The sensor is located below the armrest console area. Only did the auto fold mirror module and the auto start stop disabling device. Should not caused the sensor to fail.
