Leo22 2nd Gear December 9, 2016 Share December 9, 2016 Does anyone here put a spare tyre in your Vezel/HRV? Correct me if I am wrong, if the puncture repair kit is used, the whole tyre cannot be used anymore? Or can the tyre still can be salvaged after the puncture is repaired? I am trying to gauge whether to put a spare tyre (additional weight, FC compromised) vs stay with the repair kit (assuming cannot be repaired, the whole tyre will be screwed with a puncture that can be repaired under $8), which option do you go to? If it's a small leak, can use the repair kit to pump up tire without using the gel. May sill sustain to go to tire repair shop.

Another way is to install Tire Mointoring Pressure system to monitor the tire pressue. If the reading of one of the tire pressure drop to much, drive straight to the tire shop. The gel will make the tire heavier.

I did just what you mentioned when my tyre goes completely flat. Used the emergency air pump without the sealant to pump up the tyre and drove to tyre shop to fix the tyre for S$8. I also have those tyre repair kit used by the tyre shop but just lazy to do it myself as need to remove the tyre which is tiring.
Leo22 2nd Gear December 9, 2016 Share December 9, 2016 Thanks for the sharing! Is there anyone used the gel/sealant? After that is the tyre still usable (remove gel, repair hole) after the gel is pumped in?
Kopites Supersonic December 9, 2016 Share December 9, 2016 They don't want you to check that they did not bid for you. It is not the sales guys at fault, it is the company/the boss. In fact I was looking forward to collect my car near end April where my previous car was due to scrap on 2 may. I collected first week of April. I wanted them to hold I'm warehouse they said no. Probably margin from my deal was good. I top up 3k for no loan. Hahaha want to quick leg quick hand close my deal.
Lava 5th Gear December 9, 2016 Share December 9, 2016 Finally I had a chance to travel in the vezel as a replacement car after my company mpv had an accident. Vezel 1. The back seat is way to upright n feel uncomfortable 2. The car feel very hollow 3. My driver commented that is too under power 4. A bit too much roll when cornering 5. Cheap materials used 6. Noise level is acceptable at this class

LPPL 6th Gear December 10, 2016 Share December 10, 2016 What did you expect? It is a cheap car and not popular at all overseas, only Singapore, due to high car prices.Vezel was originally produced for the Japanese market and on seeing the potential of the car, they then exported to North America and after that to Singapore. For the Qashqai models, it was originally Nissan Dualis in Japan but Dualis has been discontinued in Japan and Qashqai was later sold in UK and other parts of the world but not in Japan. Nissan Japan has lost interest in marketing QQ to its local market and only kept the Juke and X-trail for this category. It is noteworthy that Nissan Japan continued to sell Vezels internally in Japan but not the 2nd gen QQ. If QQ was indeed such a fantastic car, why is Nissan Japan not selling it to their own people?
therock Supersonic December 10, 2016 Share December 10, 2016 Actually IMO the HRV or Vezel has been very well accepted. Even in Europe where they fuss about the drive or such, now acknowledge it's beauty function and despite whining about the cvt etc, love it.

If i wanted fuel economy, I will definitely not go for suv.
