Hi all, just gotten my Vezel X for a few days and it's been great so far~

 

Am trying to find this hard tonneau with half of it that can be easily lifted up. Anyone knows where around has it available? Thanks!

I think in the end, most of the people advise go somewhere in between which is ow30.

 

I am also going for my 1 k serving soon. I called up my PI workshop for ask for the price and EO they are using. They are all using OW40.

But if i bring my own EO, warranty will be void.

 

Do you think i should find other reputable workshop bring my own EO, dun care abt the warranty

Or just stick to the PI workshop but using OW40.

hi guys, need to consult you all. how often do you all top up the battery water? i open up and see after 2 weeks. i still can see water but cant really tell at which level. mine is a panasonic battery, can see there is a guage high and low in front, however cannot see the water level front outside.

 

can i top up the distilled water to the brim or at which level?

 

Just make sure if overflow, to wash away the top.. flush off the excess, if not will corrode.. but normally after 6mths den u can tell the difference... now no need fill up..

Guys, can anyone enlighten me. When PI says 3 bid non guarantee COE does it mean he will bid thrice in a row? If 1 bid guaranteed coe does it mean he will bid in the next bid?

 

Subjective, 3bid no gurantee they can drag, 1 big gurantee also can drag.. all depends on what u sign on the dotted line.. lets say u get the car.. they promise delvery date is april. so from now to april they got 2 COEs to bid.. they can choose to bid any one of the 2 dates..

 

Most impt is the Promised delivery date.. ETA when?? cus if no date.. they can drag till the cows go home.. or just anyhow bid..

just now searched the EO topics in the forum, some suggested w20 same as honda's instruction, some said w40 since SG is too hot, some liked w30 as it is in between, I am confused what EO to be used for my 1k servicing, any suggestions?thanks.

 

What you use depends very much on the usage of your car.

 

I use 30W for driving in Spore. My driving is 70/30 - highway /city.

 

If my driving is  30/70 - highway / city , I will use 20W.

 

I will make sure that I get the right kind of engine oil which comes with a  proper seal and a production batch code printed on the EO bottle.

You can monitor the bid your PI has put in for you 1=2 hours after COE closes  using your Singpass on LTA website.

I did that for my car and I know how much they bid for me to get the COE.

When I wanted to buy a Hybrid last year , I was told not to  by my PI.

He says his workshop is  not able to support it and there is no critical mass to support the parts that are hybrid related for his ws.

So if parts that are hybrid related breaks down , I got to be willing to wait for the ws to indent from Japan.

 

So I took his advice ,  although I could have gone to other PI. I need to use my car and cannot have it idling in the workshop for too long

The engine is designed with a tolerance for 20wt oil.  Maybe it is a good idea to stick to 20wt oil.

 

If scare, can always do used oil analysis.

Not sure if it's right to ask here but why does Vezel X price (with roughly same COE packages) differs so much across PIs?

I'm seeing btw 88k - 100+k..

 

Anybody has a reliable PI to reco and what price should be reasonable considering the 43k COE?

The number in front 0 or 5 is not important in our climate.

It is only important for cold countries where temperature can reach  zero and you do not want the EO to freeze.

If you're new, I suggest you stick to reputable PIs. They are mentioned quite a few times in the forum and also you can see some of the PIs listed in the hrv vezel forum at http://sgvezel-hrv.club/

 

The reputable ones I noticed tend to not be the cheapest in the market. 

 

For freebies that you can ask for, they have also been mentioned in the vezel thread.

 

Most importantly, you'll want to be comfortable with the date of delivery and have it written down on the purchase order.

many tricks can make the price that looks low, top up vs w/o top up, freebies,No of bids etc, in one words, PI must earn money, same suggestions as others, go for reputable PI even thought the price is not lowest in the market.

i thought hitachi capital may be a good workshop. why will workshop buy over the warranty?

Some owners may feel more comfortable with their preferred workshop.

 

I am using Hitachi Capital at Kaki Bukit and so far no complains.

 

Going there for servicing again this sat and I like their reception area, big with nice pantry reception.

For me 70/30-highway/city. finish 1st servicing using w30  FC is between 16km-17km per litre.
