DioPian 3rd Gear September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 There's too many whom always praise PI to the extend of saying PI and AD share installers locally. While some big PI players keep old stocks. Eg. Some who sign up for a car in July 2016, get car manufactured in Nov 2015 (from the so called big PI) while some get cars that manufacture in May 2016 (from the more trustworthy PI who is not that big) The so call big PI will tell you it's normal and they don't sell ex stock. Old tricks which works very well due to no CASE or authorities stepping in to plug the hole. This pushing of older model after a deposit has been placed does happen. One has to make sure that every single detail is written down & be firm not to accept anything less. Go into it with eyes wide open. ↡ Advertisement
Hshs 5th Gear September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 (edited) Will it be too late? The demand for this car may have been satiated by the Vezels.. Wish they will bring in the Hybrid.. Usually the best selling model in SG can sold up to 15-20k units. How many Vezel on the road now? I think it should be less than 10k. May be a little bit late. But I beleive still have the room. Tkasun31 Neutral Newbie September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 Yep, actually if you count the higher Parf, technically I will only pay abt 3k more. That's is if I drive the vehicle for 10years. Comes with a 5 year mileage warranty and 3 years free servicing or 60k whichever comes first.

In the heydays, when Corollas and Civics were flying out of their salesroom every minute, they were not attentive and less freebies were given. Now the new buyers will watch the price difference closely, and compare the kind of feature set that the PIs give. If there is too much difference, they know they will lose the deal. Thank you PIs for helping to level the market.
Bieffe 2nd Gear September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 (edited) Not bad few HRV finally. Anyone interested to add a sub? Have anyone tried chrome cast with the head unit? I got the LX. 2k more. As for the bumpiness, just have to check the tyre pressure. One bro commented earlier that due to shipment from overseas, they will pump the tyre pressure till around 260-280. Ideal pressure is 210-220. Just release the pressure and it will solve the problem. Remember to do it before driving for a long distance. Heat will cause the actual tyre pressure to increase. Anyway I asked for window film and front car cam. I did not ask for a change of rim or others as I requested for a further discount of $700. Good Discount of 700 for LX. Mine dont even give me 1 USB lor.The Tyre pressure is a must! Rims can change? Mine say cannot so I when direct from showroom to Tyre shop. Yep, actually if you count the higher Parf, technically I will only pay abt 3k more. That's is if I drive the vehicle for 10years. Comes with a 5 year mileage warranty and 3 years free servicing or 60k whichever comes first. But the HRV have 5k CEVS...means at 10yrs Scrap....will be abt 21k - 5k=16k....50% =8k ONLY. therock Supersonic September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 (edited) IMO timing, the salesman is everything. Sometimes they have fulfilled their quota, and won't budge. The less popular ones, the hungry ones will be more forthcoming with discounts. Jan 2017 there's a Motor show, there should be some offers, but if the salesman has enough sales, he won't budge. ( http://www.motorshow.com.sg/2017/home/) I may want to talk to them just before the show.. Edited September 4, 2016 by therock

kudobear Clutched September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 I got the new colour cinnamon bronze. Factory leather black in colour. Comparable to the Vezel my friend bought from PI, it about 7k more. But I am a caution and lazy person who rather pay more for peace of mind. Book the car in early June with COE at 47k. Guaranteed COE. Got it on the first bid with COE at 53K. Understood that lots of people buying from PI has problem due to that sharp increase during that period. Yap paying slightly more do have a piece of mind :-) I booked mine thru a PI which bought theirs from another importer in late April and I am still stuck without the Vezel. The COE was secured at 47K in May 1st bidding. The last check the manage told me the car cleared custom and I sincerely hope they are telling me the truth as the excuse for delay has been one after another. They loved to quote LTA delay which I found to be half truth. So new buyer you really need to go to PI with your eyes opened super BIG BIG...sign...! Ara 1st Gear September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 Too early la.. my car is only due next year... the Motorshow timing is pretty good..Just talk first :) If any time you feel the price is right, just bite. It is still better than you are limited to certain range of price when your car expired.

It is still better than you are limited to certain range of price when your car expired. True, been looking around a bit, see what's out there.. I actually feel a little sad. The same money buys a lot less - well nothing except the COE actually.. In fact, the choices aren't actually too inspiring! Spend more, get less. Not many cars that make me feel that it's an improvement over my FD :(

therock Supersonic September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 Those wanted to buy HRV at beg. 2017, can we gather few cars and ask bigger discount Well not a bad idea. It might even be better to gather the numbers and go in Before the show, as you will expect bids to go up right after..
Tkasun31 Neutral Newbie September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 I don't think you can get bigger discounts at AD. You could only get bigger rebates. The price are fixed by the company. You can only eat into the agent personal profit.
therock Supersonic September 4, 2016 Share September 4, 2016 If you give the salesman a few deals, I am sure he won't mind losing a bit of commission per car. As a buyer it doesn't really matter where the discount comes from :)
