  1. Hi bros, anyone know of mechanic who can fix Renault Kangoo? Need to check out the cost of replacing the ECB board and oil pump. Thanks!
  2. Got a few questions... 1. Van COE last for how many years?? (car last for 10 years, but since van have higher mileages, they tend to have shorter COE lifespan right?) 2. What is the road tax structure for diesel vans?? 3. Do new vans suffer steep depreciation?? 4. Can ppl with class 3 license drive a small van e.g. Renault Kangoo diesel van?? 5. Any websites / articles I can go to to find out more about the cost of owning / maintaining a van in Singapore?
  3. Hi, Just trying our luck here. We are looking for the owner of a Renault Kangoo GR 45T. Please kindly contact 9764 01sevenzero. We just would like to ask the owner if there is any interest to sell this number plate. Thanks.
  4. went to renault commercial showroom at toa payoh lor.8 to check out the kangoos... actualli was there for two reasons... one was to book 20k servicing as it was due.... and 2nd being that our bro fcw75 wanted to get a kangoo so i wanted to check and see whether my previous SF was still there... saw 3 models on display there... 1)1.5 dci70(m) 2)1.5 dci85(m) 3)1.6 (a) checked out the dci70 1st.... noticed somethings were missing.... (in comparison to my dci70 bought a year back...) there was no overhead compartment...to those who noe bout kangoo... it is the compartment above the driver's head so that he can store things .... having it is realli convenient ...but NO this dci 70 did not haf this.... and the part dat made me disappointed was that there is no carpet lining... it seems that they were removed... this most prob would translate to a hotter kangoo...coz i believe that it is the carpet lining which keeps the heat out....but all i saw was bare metal.... there were changes to the faceplate (not sure if that is wat it is called, its the place where speedo and fuel indicator is) but IMHO....it was not as nice as the old one.... and the radio display...is diff from mine....it is the smaller type... HU was not there so i cannot comment on it... gear sticks looks diff as well.... the aircon vents are no more black...they are same colour as the dashboard... next the dci85....85 being the bhp ...with 15bhp more then the dci70.... and being called the newer model of kangoo... this model looked more like my kangoo... the radio display is the dci70 mannufactured a year back... din get a chance to get whether there was carpet lining or not....coz the van was parked outside and it was locked.... faceplate is same as the abovementioned dci70... din check out whether HU was there or not... coz me was rushing to go off.. well...this was actaulli the last ride i checked out and nearly missed as it was parked outside... lastly the 1.6 (i think its 16V)... the petrol version of kangoo with auto gears.... upgraded from the 1.4 version and now having 95bhp(if i remember correctly , coz i am not an auto fan) i shall not comment much on this...as most kangoo buyers would get diesel version.... but one thing i do not understand is why dci70 version is so stripped down... i believe the price is almost the same as last year.... well fcw75..this thread dedicated to you but its open to comments from everyone
  5. Hi Bros & Sisters, I am thinking of buying a secondhand 4 years old Kangoo. Need comments and help from bros and sisters who owned or previously owned such a model. How much is the servicing ? How much is the insurance ? More expensive then car insurance ? How much road tax ? Reliable or not ? Any weakness ? And everything good or bad about the car that you know of ? Thanks and have a nice day.
  6. Hi bros, Anybody had the previous experience of overhauling a Renault Kangoo 1.5 which are quite popular on the roads? Where is a good place to do it? My friend's one going to piang very soon and searching for a good workshop to do it. Appreciate if anybody could share the cost and experience of overhauling the vehicle. Thanks!
  7. Hi All... I went to BCC but seems like they r nt tt competent and r like changing parts just to earn money... My situation was like tis...While driving my aircon compressor will stop and warm air will keep blowing out of my vents... after like 10-15mins compressor kicks in again n air con comes back... 1st situation : BCC claim my fan motor nt wrking.. tts the cause of it...I insisted that i saw the fan moving only occassion stopping...if it jam it will nt rotate at all...since my van is ard 7yrs old and BCC is the "Specialist" i gave them a benefit of the doubt... After replacement of FAN motor and drive out to bishan rd my air con died on me again... 2nd time i went back bcc i put the vehicle for 2days...they claim they couldnt find the fault...totally waste of my time...have to tell them my problem and they say : OH your compressor is spoilt. Have to put there another extra day for the "chief engineer" to troubleshoot.. He got quite a reputation so i trusted him n gave him the benefit of the doubt. Claim my compressor was faulty tts why..i asked if mayb its the air con relay might be the caused of it, they replaced my air con relay with theirs and let me try... Ok i changed the compressor... The same problem came back again.... 3rd time: Went back again as adviced and put my car for full day...couldnt find fault...i told them cannot be whenever i on/off the air con there is this sound...den when i demostrated to them, they said oh ya your relay got problem.. I replied that the relay is theirs and they say that their relay is faulty 1... i told them off why in the first place let me try with a faulty relay?? In an anger i left and went to another wrkshop to do....to my horror BCC gave me a relay for pwr door instead of the air con relay...the wrkshop owner showed me the diff...even the pin formation also different... So now my van replaced fan motor, Compressor and Air con relay, the problem still persist... Anybody know what could the problem b??

  9. Does anyone have any idea where I can find out how to purchase a commercial vehicle like a Kangoo? Also, been trying to find out more about the Kangoo, I need one that has rear seats. The websites seems to have very scarce information. Do you know where I can go to find out more about it (short of going to the showroom)? Thirdly, can anyone briefly tell me the differences amongst the Kangoo, Partner and Doblo? I'm tired of looking up info on them on the internet, it seems quite futile.

  11. Following the Fluence Z.E. all-electric sedan concept's unveiling at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show and last December's presentation of the Kangoo Van Z.E. prototype at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Renault recently unveiled the finalized designs of both models. The French automaker said that customers in Europe and selected countries including Singapore, South Africa and Russia can pre-reserve their vehicle at www.renault-ze.com. First batch of delivery is expected in the first half of 2011. The Fluence Z.E is powered by an electric motor producing 94HP and 226Nm of torque that motivates the front wheels through a direct drive transmission. The capacity of the Fluence Z.E.'s lithium-ion battery is 22kW/h. The battery itself tips the scales at 250kg and is located behind the rear seats. The driver can charge the battery through a household supply, at fast charge stations using a 32A 400V supply or via a QuickDrop battery switch system that will enable the car's battery to be swapped in approximately three minutes at bespoke battery exchange stations. Fully charged, the Fluence Z.E. has a driving range of up to 160km with a top speed of 130km/h. Continuing with the Kangoo Z.E., the small van is powered by a 59HP electric motor with 226Nm of peak torque that drives the front wheels. The lithium-ion battery is located in a central position beneath the floor, enabling the Kangoo Z.E. to boast the same carrying capacity as the internal combustion-engined model. The battery can be charged via a household main supply (16A 220V) for about six to eight hours, offering an operational range of 160 km.
  12. Hi Guys, Trying to change tyres for my company's kangoo. Last round we used Toyo and maybe around 30K the tyre went botak already. The old ecocontinental could last 40-50K I think. So I went around looking for the "original" tyres but found that many places don't have. Went to the famous ubi road, LS and YBro can order in a few hrs time but they expect me to pay 1st in the morning then come back in the afternoon. It's a waste of time for me leh. Went to stamford at machperson and they say no stock. But according to computer, their AMK branch have. So I went there, just to be told again that no stock. Computer stock is wrong. sigh! Any one can let me know where I can find this tyre (or any other durable+good)? The size is 165/70/R14 Btw, I'm also using Toyo on my car. Found that its quite good grip but it wears off very fast. Thanks.
