  1. One of my relatives is bedridden and in coma stage now. We have been trying to contact the various insurance companies to enquire if this relative has insurance plans with them. So far, the insurance companies seem OK to reveal details as long as we provide the name and NRIC and explain the situation. However, what about banks? How would we be able to withdraw the cash inside this relative's bank accounts? Does it mean the only time the cash can be withdrawn is upon passing? It is intended to use the cash in the bank accounts to help offset the medical bills. pls advise. thanks
  2. Instead of showing remorse for causing a near fatal accident, the driver of the Lexus Kelvin Seah Koon Yong posted the news of the accident on his Facebook and even ‘liked’ it! Last Saturday morning, a Lexus beat the red light at a Bugis junction between Rochor Road and Victoria Street ramming into the rear of Sonata taxi. The 30 year old driver Kelvin Seah was charged yesterday for drink-driving and dangerous driving. He was accompanied by his family members who hurled expletives at journalists who tried to interview them. “Why are you kicking up a big fuss over a trivial accident?” one elderly man reported shouted at them outside the court. According to court documents, Kelvin Seah came from a rich family and graduated from Curtin University in Australia. If convicted, he is likely to be jailed and fined. 3. Chinese new year again.. do your relatives compare how well everyone is doing? like what car A is driving, where B is staying, etc. my relatives all like to compare. Usually those who are not doing so well will not like to visit relatives.... Just like MCF. A only 30s already stay in Condo. B drives a BMW. C have 3 cars already, blah blah blah....
  4. if you're a relative or friend of the auntie driver, please kindly caution her against the frequent flashing of the high beam! Today along ECP towards airport, just after fort road, auntie drives up behind me on lane 2 and starts flashing. Lane 1 was empty and I thought it was my friend. After a few more flashes, I got fed up and tapped on my brakes. Panics, she cuts left into lane 3 right behind a lorry and starts flashing him!! All this while, I thought it was an impatient Beng. Didn't bother to slow down to look. But same driver drives up to parkway parade carpark and starts doing the same to every car, van and person taking a tad too slow too move! That's when I realised it was an old auntie behind the wheel. Please...if you're her friend or relative...do tell her to stop that else someone less friendly may decide to run her down....
  5. Hi all, I have this close relative (sis-in-law) suddenly call us and wanted us to help her on a product purchase. Their family is not very well off, got three teenage kids and both parents are from the low income group. She's been visiting this thermal massage bed shop in the east to "treat" her back problem. She claimed they having a promo till end Oct, each bed costing about $4500!!! with credit card can pay instalment for two years. She wants to use our credit card for the instalments and she will pay us monthly. I was thinking, they need to feed their family (school fees, daily expenses) and that should be the priority, right? If we reject her, things may turn ugly. If don't reject, we might "harm" them further or we fear we may ended up paying the instalment ourselves. (she still owns us a few thousands since 2007!!! in fact she own other siblings $$$ too, mostly 4 digits) any bro heard of this massage bed call Ceragem?? is it that good? any good advice to "educate" them? heizzzz, this are one of those situation, sigh....
  6. Hi all kind souls, the following is a true account of what happened. My grandmother stays in England, she married to there.Recently, her husband passed away. One of her grandson, flew to England,on the pretext of helping her transfer her pounds over to Singapore. We are talking abt near to 200,000 pounds, equal to abt 500,000 to 600,000 sing dollars He make her signed something,I suppose is some authorisation letter to transfer the money to s'pore Funny thing she does not have any bank account in s'pore.Which bank account did he transfer the money to.He helped her to open a OCBC account, but that was AFTER the tt transfer was done Normally,tt transfer will take about max a week. Now a month, not a single cent went into the OCBC account, cause I helped her to check and that is the only account she ever had in s'pore Now the old lady is at a loss abt how to recover her hard earned money and her pension, and she is very sad. Her this grandson even told her to sell off her property in England adn trasnfer the money again Now I am helping my grandmother to recover back her hard earned cash and to tell her to stop any sale of her property I decided to proceed to file a report with the police and seek their advice Is this correct
