  4. Not sure his nationality. But if it's not reported, them most likely not local. http://www.edvantage.com.sg/edvantage/news..._in_France.html A National University of Singapore (NUS) PhD student, Mr Cui Luchao, has been missing and unreachable in France for two weeks. The PhD student from the Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA) programme at the university was on a research attachment at the Institut de Chimie Moleculaire de I'Universite de Bourgogne (ICMUB) in Dijon, France, since May 4. According to a report from The Straits Times, he had participated in the International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis in Toulouse from July 9 to July 13 as part of his attachment. He was last seen by ICMUB staff at the symposium in Toulouse on July 12. He was due to return to ICMUB in Dijon on July 14 to continue with his research. However, he failed to show up and telephone calls made by ICMUB and SMA faculty to Mr Cui's mobile phone had gone unanswered. Mr Cui was working on his doctorate in Chemical & Pharmaceutical Engineering. He was then supposed to have returned to Singapore on July 29, but he failed to board his flight. The newspaper reported that the missing student was caught on CCTV making a call on his mobile phone on July 17 within the Toulouse hostel grounds. The Straits Times also reported that an NUS spokesman confirmed that a missing persons report had been filed in both France and Singapore. SMA faculty and administrators are also working with the ICMUB team in Dijon, the French authorities, as well as the Chinese embassies in Singapore and France to locate Mr Cui. The spokesman added that SMA faculty and administrators are in close contact with Mr Cui's family, and are providing them with the necessary assistance during this trying time. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr Cui can reach Ms Juliana Chai at the Singapore-MIT Alliance at NUS at (65) 6516 1347 or email [email protected].

  6. April 9, 2008 ST Aero loses US$635m contract with US low-cost carrier Skybus Skybus files for Chapter 11 protection By Nicholas Fang SINGAPORE Technologies Aerospace (ST Aero) is facing a US$635 million (S$877 million) hit to its orderbook after one of its customers in the United States filed for bankruptcy on Monday. ST Aero, the aerospace arm of ST Engineering, said in a statement on Wednesday that it would reduce its orderbook accordingly following the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by low-cost carrier Skybus Airlines. The airline, which is based in Columbus, Ohio, cited the inability to overcome rising jet fuel costs and a slowing economic environment as reasons why it ceased operations last Saturday. ST Aero had clinched a 12-year contract in November 2006, worth US$635 million starting from 2007. The deal was awarded by Airbus which was supplying Skybus with A319 aircraft. ST Aero's US facility, ST Mobile Aerospace Engineering, was contracted to provide support covering aircraft line and light maintenance, components management and support, engineering and technical services for Skybus' fleet. The fleet was expected to grow up to 66 aircraft but only 11 were being operated at the time when Skybus ceased its operations. ST Aero said that work commenced when Skybus began operations in the middle of last year. 'With Skybus Airlines' bankruptcy, ST Aero's orderbook value would be reduced accordingly,' ST Aero said in a statement on Tuesday. The company said there would not be any material impact on its results for the current financial year. ST Engineering turned in a total orderbook of S$9.5 billion last year. The company does not provide details of its subsidiaries' orderbooks. ST Aerospace announced earlier this year it has secured a contract worth S$87 million to provide comprehensive engine maintenance and engineering support to South Africa's Comair. It will service the 20 engines on Comair's fleet of 10 Boeing Classic 737s over the next eight years. http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2...ry_225441.html many budget airlines r closing down now in USA

  8. Hi Bros out there, Anyone encounter aeroplane sound when using 701 processor? I've jus installed mine and encountered it instantly. i greatly suspected it's cabling problem, but my installer claimed that installing 701 mostly may lead to aeroplane sound(which i strongly disagree). He challenged me to enquire in forums, still saying that it's a known factor in I.C.E. . but I find it's bullshxt. Who will want to install 701 if it mostly will give aero sound. anyone can confirm for me?
