Can anyone advise me an external media player that can play flac and wav file in my car.. Currently my in build media player can only play mp3. I am using Alpine PXA-H800 sound processor.

Anyone has tried any of the available OEM integrator - digital amplifier with DSP on their ride? Would appreciate if you could give your feedback. I have bought 2 Focal amplifiers FP4.75 & FP1.800, and a 13" Focal subwoofer ten years ago. Due to COE law, I am force to get rid of my nicely maintained car and got to transfer these audio component to my new ride. These Focal amplifiers were much sought after during ten years ago. After a decade, I am surprise they still sound decent. The unfortunate thing is that my new car uses a different speakers size of 4" while my previous car uses 6.5" speakers, so I ended up buying a new pair of speakers for my front doors. I was offered to choose either Focal plug n play or K2 Power. The verdict is clear as there isn't much difference in price and so I decided on K2 Power. I had car audio installation from a small shop(have many trophies) with frequent customers at cheaper price, but this time I went to a slightly reputable bigger audio shop(also have many trophies) with more expensive cars at their workshop and charge a higher price. Total items & installation price can be difference of more than $100++. So, did I pay more for better tuning advise, workmanship, service? A sensitive topic with an easy answer. Tuning advise is depend on how newbie the customer is. To a newbie, whatever shit the installer says, the customer will agree as he/she has already parted few thousands dollar to buy happiness. To a customer to who has been burned his/her pocket with ICE before, the installer with discuss and give options on sound tuning, which is a rather accessible knowledge from internet these days. In fact, most customers ended readjusting their bass level after the installer knowledgeable tuning. As for service, most shops are customer service oriented these days. In car audio competition, judges not only focus on sound but also weight in heavily on presentation and installation. So if you think a good workmanship is worth the extra on your expensive car, then you should pay the difference. -

Sorry guys, I am very new to ICE so need your kind advice. Is the above HU good and what does the xdp 210 processor does? And if I change to this unit do I need to change my speakers too? What would be good enough for normal listening? -
Radio reception not good after installed Processor

Guys, I noticed my radio reception very bad after I installed the Pioneer processor for my Pioneer DVD (4150). Is it related? My installer say the processor will make those noise more audible? True? -
Hi Guys, Just want to share you a friendly word processor call Google Pinyin. very easy and simple to use even those 成语 that we normally type, you can achieve by using 4 letters. for example, kkxx = 开开心心 hjhw = 狐假虎威 lbsy = 路不拾遗 xxsc = 心想事成 i had abit of a fun relearning my chinese... haha

Hi experts, I am thinking of either installing: 1)Pioneer DVD 6050 with Pioneer sound processor or 2) Alpine 502 plus 701 sound processor. May I know what is the current price for the above options? In you opinion, which option is better and why? Thanks

Hi Bros out there, Anyone encounter aeroplane sound when using 701 processor? I've jus installed mine and encountered it instantly. i greatly suspected it's cabling problem, but my installer claimed that installing 701 mostly may lead to aeroplane sound(which i strongly disagree). He challenged me to enquire in forums, still saying that it's a known factor in I.C.E. . but I find it's bullshxt. Who will want to install 701 if it mostly will give aero sound. anyone can confirm for me?

i intend to use denon dct-1 as my headunit..it is a pure deck. my question is: 1. should i connect the headunit direct to my amp or should i go thru a processor like alpine 701? 2. is there other processor option beside 701? 3. does 701 has the inherent hissing sound problem? any feedback is appreciated cos this is bugging me for the last few days and couldn't decide which is the best option. many thanks.

I got a CHORD Optichord Optical Cable (UK) to let go. It's definitely a need for those who use HU and Processor eg, Alpine701. It's a must upgrade for those using orignial optical cable.
