  1. A few years ago, I attended a wedding dinner with my mom. The groom was my JC classmate, and my mom was invited by some aunty from the bride's family. At the time, I did not think much of the fact that my mom and I were invited to the same wedding by different parties, it must be one of those random coincidences in such a small country. The wedding dinner went by as usual, with the customary video, march-in, cake cutting, 交杯酒, speeches, photo taking etc... I had a good time catching up and reminiscing the old times with my JC classmates at the same table, while my mom was allocated to some other aunty table. At the end of the dinner, I went to look for my mom and we joined the queue to shake hands with the newlyweds and their families before leaving the venue. As we approached the wedding couple, I gave my heartiest congratulations to the groom with a handshake, a hug and a brief chat while my mom was talking to one of the aunties beside the bride. The next moment, the bride suddenly came to me, held both my hands, and asked "Do you remember me??" in quite a loud voice and with a look of excitement! I was caught by surprise! I looked at the bride, and then my friend the groom, and my mom with a confused look, my mind racing to try to recall where I had met the bride before... She looked vaguely familiar, but I know she was definitely not one of my exes (haha), so who can she be??? Was she a classmate from one of my previous schools? Colleague from work?... Finally after a few moments, I gave up and asked her how did she know me. Her answer was so unexpected and freaky that I get goosebumps even as I recall the moment now. "Do you remember we attended the same kindergarten before?" My mouth slowly dropped open as the realisation hit me... I used to attend my 2 years of kindergarten with a girl who lived in the next block from where I stayed. We sat beside each other in class, and as young children we got along quite well. Later we lost contact as we went to primary school and she moved away. Somehow by a freaky twist of fate, she got to know my JC classmate and got married... the aunty who invited my mom to the wedding was actually the bride's mom who somehow kept in contact throughout all those years... I think I freaked out a bit as I spoke to the wedding couple, saying how coincidental the situation was. After saying our congratulations and goodbyes, we made our way home. Along the way back, I kept thinking about the whole matter and tried to rationalise the whole series of events in my mind... My conclusion is: SG is too small... What is your freaky coincidence encounter? PS to mods: I know there are a few coincidence threads, but seems like different context, so I started a new thread. Hope this is ok. Thanks.
  2. Those who are not interested or against gamble, please don't read this post and need not to make your comment. I am a regular slot player at RWS, 2 big happening took place within this 2 months and I must say I am very very buay song liao. 2 super mega Jackpot prizes range 2.8Million and 2.88Million were released to 2 non-slot players. This 2 winners hold highest membership card and don't even play slot. They are table games high rollers. While many slot lovers are chasing after the super mega jackpot for years and why did this 2 winners know when to play, which machine to play, what time to play and hit the super jackpot at once. KELONG until so obvious! Sibeh bauy kam guan. And there is this Chinese syndicate that always come and hijack the Jackpot prizes. There are few areas where Jackpot prizes are clearly listed that it MUST release when it reaches the cap of $500, $3000, $30000 or $50,000. Whenever any for this jackpot prizes are closed to the cap, the syndicate members will appear and occupied most of the machines and hijack the prize away. The question is, why does the casino allows this group of people to enter? They are all PRC, and they always come with thick capital. Are they doing money laundering or employed by the casino?
  3. Hi all, This is the kind of coincidence I find it interesting, just happened to me few days ago on JB road. For example; my car number is 7789; while driving on the E-way, I came across a car in front of me is 7788 and the one immediately before this car is 7787. Though not often, I also encountered same car number as my car but different alphabets on the road. What did you get on the road? Regards,

  7. not sure if it's true, got this email sometime back Strange or coincidence !!!! Believe it or not. Singapore Airlines (SIA) have removed SQ 006 permanently from their timetable. The flight number is now replaced by SQ 030. The return flight of SQ 005 is now SQ 029. From now on, SQ 006 is history. The flight numbers were changed after the SIA investigating team and management found something spooky happened on the SQ 006 final flight. Believe it or not? If you recall, a few years ago on the date that SQ 006 crashed, there was this Taiwanese SIA stewardess who was murdered in a hotel in Los Angeles . The murder suspect was her fellow colleague, an Eurasian guy. Her naked body was dismembered and hidden in a cupboard. Do you know that she was wearing red when she was flown back to Singapore on SQ 006 via Taipei and wore red when she was buried? Her mother wore red too to receive her body at the Changi International Airport . Exactly one year (31st October) later on her death anniversary, the plane crashed in Chang Kai Shek International Airport in Taipei . Coincidentally, this was also the day the Eurasian steward was released from prison. The SQ 006 TPE/LAX sector was scheduled to leave TPE at 10:55pm. As there was an approaching typhoon, the SQ 006 Captain and his crew decided to board the plane and depart 15 minutes early. The Left 1 and Left 2 doors were not closed until 10:55pm (the original departure time). The reason was that, the number of passengers did not tally with the passenger lists in economy section. One of the junior stewardess counted 5 times and advised her colleague that she could not tally the passengers in the economy section. Both of them then counted the passenger again and confirmed an extra passenger in the cabin. When they recounted the passengers with the chief stewardess again, the number of passengers were correct. The junior stewardess advised her chief stewardess that one of the lady passenger sitting in 40A (front section of the economy class) was not there and they could not locate her in the lavatories either. The flight received push-back clearance as scheduled. The two junior stewardesses were among the casualties in SQ 006 where none of the passengers in the front economy section survived the crash. The chief stewardess only suffered slight injuries as she was sitting in the business class section. While preparing the flight for LAX ( Los Angeles ) in the business class section, one of the male in-flight supervisor who could "see things" happen, saw a lady flipping through the passenger list which was placed on one of the first class cabin table. As there were cleaners in the cabin, he did not shout at her but when he walked to the first class section, there were no signs of this lady. The male in-flight supervisor was among the survivors left unscratched in the crash as he was sitting in the back section of the economy class. This story was brought up during an investigative interview with the SQ 006 crew. There was suspicion that the murder a year ago could have involved more than one person but it was not pursued further. It was believed that the (Eurasian guy, who was also a SIA steward) accomplices could have been in the SQ 006 flight. It was also understood that one of the male in-flight steward who died in this crash was a buddy of the Eurasian guy. The flight number was immediately changed after the interview.
