A student studying at the National University of Singapore (NUS) fell eight stories to her death after trying to get into her residential hall room from a window. According to a report in The New Paper (TNP), the 18-year-old South Korean had locked herself out of her room on the seventh storey of Block C of Sheares Hall on Saturday (28 Oct). The Singapore Police Force (SPF) told Yahoo News Singapore it was alerted to a case of fall from height at 20 Heng Mui Keng Terrace at 11:38am on 28 October. “An 18-year-old woman was unconscious when conveyed to the National University Hospital where she subsequently succumbed to her injuries,” said SPF. Police are investigating the unnatural death. The residents were informed by email of the tragic event on Saturday afternoon. Currently, I have some central locking issues. when i press "lock" by pushing down from driver's side or remote, all unlocked doors will lock. however, when i unlock in the same way, only the driver's side unlocks. any idea whats wrong?

anyone know of place / supplier to get a mock car door to test the locking mechanism? got a R&D project in office. dun tink wanna go scrap yard cos all the stuff there are pretty bad condition.

Recently my car driver's side door cannot be unlocked when i press the unlock button...the other doors can be opened...I think my continental junk is using the AIR system and somehow the air unable to pump out the driver side door or suck it in.. does anyone knows where can i go to fix it and how much will it cost?

Hi All: I am driving a Aveo sedan (before the Aveo5 version) recently I went to my car to collect something from my boot, I used the remote key to unlock the key (disable the car alarm) and after collecting some stuff from the boot, I believed I slamed down the car boot. When I tried to lock the car using the remote, it didnt work. I though my battery failed and hence went and changed the battery, didnt work also. Now the remote key lock and unlock is not working. I can still manually open my car door. but the usual central locking failed as well (meaning from the driver sid, i used to be able to lock and unlock all car doors) At a suggestion of a friend, I tried to unplug the terminal to my car battery for 5 minutes and plug it back, didnt work as well. Any other suggestion before I have to send to car workshop to check? thank you

Seeing the Civic Type R's rims kena stolen got me thinking. I understand that normal Jap car rims use nuts to hold the rims. Then 1 of the nuts is special and need adaptor to unscrew. BUT....my car don't use nuts. It use bolts. All the bolts are normal, no need special adaptor to open. So is there such thing as a locking bolt? So my rims will not be stolen?

Any bro out there know where can i change the usual "beep, beep" sound during unlocking and locking the door? I see some cars have some cool alarm music or transformer-like voice "Car De-arm" etc.... Thanks in advance.

Hi all My central locking always have problem . Was told by some fellow bros that it is becoz of lousy piston the agent is using.. my left rear passenger door jammed again !! Went back 2 wks ago for the same problem - now again.. sian Now the question is .. does anyone knows where to fix new central locking or change to better pistons for my central lock ? actually my car still under warranty. Central lock fixed by agent. Thanks for all advise!
