I've heard about a type of mod that is just a piece of non thermal sensitive gasket that you put between your engine block and intake manifold, thus decreasing the intake manifold temperature. Anyone heard? Seems like a cheap mod, a piece of plate only. But a non conductor thing that can withstand high temperature of the block might be expensive..

Hey guys, Itchy hands again and installed oil temp, oil pressure and intake manifold defi guages on my IS200 today. Thought intake manifold is essentially a vacuum guage, but the reading is so different. Any idea how to read it? What's the ideal oil pressure on my ride when idle and when revving it? Thanks for your help. -
My ride has this P0400 error display on the OBD-II. As suspected it was the same problem which the distributor could never explain since day 1. They did a replacement of the EGR valve and sensor about a year back. the pinging noise from the EGR filter box lessen but did not go away entirely. I tried to change from RON92 to at least RON95. there was not much improvement. Anyone knows a good workshop experienced in Mit cars that can solve this problem. It's not irritating but when coming to low idle, the car will jutter, as bros Saaber has noticed. -
