  1. Hi all, Wheel spacers... Good or bad... I mean seriously.... Strut bars are good, makes cornering better. Strut bars are bad, weakens parts of your chassis. Open pod is good, engine breaths better. Open pod is bad, lose low end and risk more dirt into engine. My point is, most mods will cause premature wear on the car, in one way or another. So it a fully stock car good? "Never..." The car enthusiast will say... Anyway lets get back to my topic. Wheel spacers... Some say just get proper off set rims... And seems many who are against it say it will cause premature wheel bearing wear. Seriously wouldn't a smaller off set rim (wider) also cause the small problem? And we all know most cars are designed to under steer, so that means the rear wheel axle should be shorter. And they are on most cars... I always thought a modded wider rear will increase under steer, some friends said so... But after some research, I think in fact under steer will be less. Maybe different cars will have different effects. Anyone got facts to share?

  3. Any bros know where I can buy 5mm-10mm universal wheel spacers? Thank you
  4. i've been wanting to ask this for a very long time liao keep forgetting... from my knowledge, wheel spacers are mainly to clear bigger calipers... those who are using it, any wheel vibrations at high speeds? SOME... only some cars look good with wheel spaces... i always believe a wider wheel base will make the car look better... but if your car is not designed to fit wider wheel base than the car will end up yucks... i am probably not making myself very clear... .... hmmm ok example... i feel lah... wheels to far out for these cars look yucks... 1st gen Mazda3, Estima, Avante.... its like there's no swallon wheel arc and the design of the car fenders just look bad with wheels out of the body... anyways just wanna know if you are using wheel spacers and WHY?... many thanks...
  5. Got new rims to fix on to my car. But apparently the workshop had to use spacer for each rim to make it out abit. So my worry is whether is this safe? Would it wear down some stuff? And any disadvantages?
  6. Today i tried installing a HID kit. Found out that my H7 comes with an adapter and my hid with all its wires cant fit into it. So it is impossible to hook the bulb tightly into my lamp casing. Im looking for a spacer. Anywhere sells it? Something like this
  7. May I know where I can get 10mm spacers and long lug nuts? Thanks
  8. Anyone knoe who is good with fitting wheel spacers here? Or perhaps in JB? I am looking for those hub centric ones and preferably with adaptors or seperate build in studs to fasten your wheels to the spacer, den the spacer to the hub. Anyone fitted and knows how much? I am currently using those lousy 5mm spacers without hub centri rings. I know its not good, dats why i only dare put it on the rear wheels but not the front driving wheels.
  9. Moderators, pardon me if I have posted in wrong folder. Was wondering whether this should go Aftermarket or Rubber/Wheels folder. I've searched for spacers, and its a taboo topic in the past. But with well-known manufacturers like Eibach having a wide pro-spacer product series, I would think that the technology has improved. Anyone who have been using spacers for a while, those bolt-on type, any comments or feedback? My application is for aestetics purpose, though it can improve handling marginally.
  10. Hello all, Check with you guys where i can get customize spacers??and roughly how much? want to get my rear wheel flush with the fenders ..think the 5mm ones selling at some shops not enough.....
  11. i heard for good safety margin, spacers should fit real well. what are the specs required to determine the fitting of spacers? first the PCD right, e.g. 4x100, then the number of mm of spacing, e.g. 5mm, then .. the lug size? and .. some more things right?
  12. Anyone got any idea how much a set of 4 spacers cost? I was quoted RM120 for 1 complete set. Is this reasonable? Hoping to get a quote from SG tyre shop. Thanks!
  13. Hi people, I know this has been asked so many times but please indulge in me for a moment. I've a couple of questions to ask regarding wheels, alignment and handling. 1. How would spacers be seriously detrimental to a car especially if it's cornered hard, and moved up and down multi-storey parking daily? 2. Spacers added to a wheel of +40 offset for a G9 required? I think mine's got spacers but I'm not sure, cos the usual offset range seems to be +35 to +38. 3. If the camber cannot be adjusted, only the toe, and the right camber is off 1 degree, and left is off only about 0.7, what could be the likely long/short term impact to drive-sub, alignment handling etc. ? 4. And if its in anyone's pleasure, please do give some tips about picking the right wheel for a car apart from cosmetics. Thank you!
  14. Anyone tried wheel spacers before? Heard that it will affect the handling of the car. Currently I am already using 15mm offset rims but the wheels are still sitting quite deep in the wheel hub. Thinking of using spacers to push the wheels maybe a few mm out.
