I suspect all cars using this engine have the same issue. An easy to break plastic top rail guide that guides the timing chain.

THe PSA & BMW co-developed prince engine got quite a few issue that need to sort out. Google to find out more.

If ppl want to argue and say what brand and make is not reliable why not put forth some prove to back up your claims, it's not that difficult to search. Same for those who want to say what brand or make is no longer have the worrying issues. Have some prove to back your claims rather keep saying the same things over and over. You know, why should ppl take your word for it?

Wow your feedback is sweeping those whom claim that French car poor reliability mentality is yesterday mindset.

You have proven it is not truth as they still remain the same as history

What have reliability or lemon car got to do with test drive car?

Well bro, here is the catch.

Send to the dealers workshop, that speaks volumes.

Send it to the specialist in French cars, things would probably turn out out differently.

Easy answer, I want to know if he felt similar vibrations in test car. This is a diesel car after all.

I tested DS4 recently and its not that refined versus some others

but the rest of the crap is probably lemon case

If he just collected his car, i think he's referring to the 1.6 Diesel eHDI not the petrol THP

I think whether it is diesel or petrol not the main factor, vibration in engines also can find in some others make/model lo. Esp B&B cars, cause seldom to find a car engine dont vibrate at all.

Really depends on individual tolerance level. Best is to test drive another car of the same make n compare.

i know that, but if you refer to my post, he's asking if the C5 and DS4 uses the same engine.

tested the test drive vehicle for comparison. don't have the same issue. vehicle don't vibrate when coming to a stop or move upgear.

Maybe you should try invoking the lemon law?  It sounds like your case is quite extreme.

i will be sending the car back in to their service center. will update after collection. the fact is there is a vibration issue with my car. that is not found on alltheir test drive vehicle.

Just to be devil's advocate, did you also compare the test drive car's mileage? Maybe the vibrations are part of run in period, as unlikely as that is.

run in? bro first time car owner? run in is a myth. engines are subjected to long hour test before being fitted to the car. conti not chery.

Each car would have been taken for a drive after assembly, and serious vib's as described should hv been obvious then..

Something happened between factory n handover to buyer!
