Quantum 5th Gear March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 I a newbie...just got my licence on my first attempt 2 months ago, and was thinking of buying a car for convenience sake. My initial plan was mazda 3...but after hearing that the new vios has a larger rear seat space, and better fc, I am slowly changing my plan to get the new vios, but still it might change my mind again after I go for test drive. Now the thing is...I am quite afraid of going for test driving, esp parking. As I am quite sure my driving skills has weaken and I dont have any car to borrow for practise. I dont want to cause any damage or accident. Any advise? I know it is irrelevant to this thread, but I cant start a new thread as I have yet to reach 15 posts. Hope to get some advise from lao jiao here. Don't worry friend, you are the customer, you are the GOD just ask the SE to drive the car to the the front of showroom, then you start your test drive, SE will guide you routine when you are driving, don't be nervous, it much easier than TP test , after test drive, just get off the car, SE will drive the car to car park ↡ Advertisement
Quantum 5th Gear March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 get a friend who drives to go with you, he should give comments to u if u dare not test drive the car yourself...but if u just passed one, i not sure if AD wanna let u test drive too??? if u are allowed to test drive ,dun worry abt parking, can ask SE to park for u if u not confident.. I don't think toyota don't allow 'just passed one' to test drive , if I'm not wrong, Mazda is the only one of Jap brand doesn't allow 'just passed one' to test drive

Jacf Neutral Newbie March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 Hm...think I better find a car and practise first, dont want to have a bad experience on my first test drive attempt. Thanks for the advise dun worry, when everything else fails....there's AIG... No, when everything fails , there should be Toyota Express first... -can fix any Toyota car double quick time! some more no loss in NCD.. think the insurance for their test cars is to cover third parties, if test car got damage , just send behind for repair , very convenient! Jamesbin Neutral Newbie March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 Oh no...I still thinking of booking both vios and mazda3 test drive. Will be disappointed if I am not able to test out one of my dream car. Anyway, will just try to book it online. Since lao jiao here said should be fine...then I think I should have more confidence and go for it

Quantum 5th Gear March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 great! only G model has rear disc brake to cut cost, J and E model all are rear drum brake as its contender latio and city
Mzrmazda3 6th Gear March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 price a bit on the high side if compare to Mazda 3...but definitely better than Avante Bro, Avante & Mz3 belong to different class IMHO Vios's contender should be Latio, Sylphy, City ... etc
Hi577 Clutched March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 the lowest price is 49K. if want to buy not nw...too highbro in ur opinion wen is the best time to buy?...do u tink wif the increase of gst n coe effect the car price?
Jacf Neutral Newbie March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 although City is 1.5l , KM priced it as if it is a 1.6l car...City is more expensive than some 1.6l cars!
Porche 5th Gear March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 u mean vios or? if juz change ride wait for another one or 2 bid to c...GST won't affect too much on the price, COE quota will. but then again, do you think every mth got a lot of buyers. many stuck with present cars, SEs waiting for COE cars to scrap and first time buyers, but then again not much also. Vios price will come down in a couple of mths, dun gun cheong. I also look at replacing my ride too
Jamesbin Neutral Newbie March 26, 2007 Share March 26, 2007 Sounds logical. So does that applies to other cars as well? I am targeting to buy my first car before June. But looking at the COE price increment, it worries me if I should.

Vios FC is but Toyota's design is usually quite conservative. See wat you like.
Jamesbin Neutral Newbie March 27, 2007 Share March 27, 2007 Just filled up mazda online test drive application. No call from them yet. Not sure when they will call me for confirmation. As for the new vios, its still not available for test drive booking yet, as I didnt see the new vios option online. Maybe got to go down personally to book? There are other models like honda jazz, colt plus and avante that I would like to test drive as well. Being psycho by my friend to test out avante, as his uncle just bought, and lots of praises from him.
