It is a secondhand Honda Civic, the car is under another credit company, was told the transfer would be the next few days, but never happened, called them up (88) keep saying next day will do ...till now not done yet,I suspect 88 is just a empty shell,so what they claim to have 80 cars!

Buyers beware ,,,,,!!!!! buy from dealers who can do immediate transfer.

This one should go into the thread of used car dealers to avoid.

But i thought 88 has many new vezel on the upper level car park, could this be just an isolated case where they took over a used car with credit issue ? I went to see a used e200 once but their sales was quite hack care , so i decided not to deal with them

Hi Guys, got my Vezel yesterday, bad experience with my PI SE.After pay him in cash for my 3M solar and leather dashboard,he got terminated due to internal issues but still get in touch with him and he assure me to get this settled on my convenience.Anyone encounter the same situation?

Has anyone drive to Malaysia when your car still new and what is the risk of doing so? Thanks . [smallcry]

just wondering ... how do you pay a lump sum at the dealer ?

the last time i bought my used car, i had to bring $17k of cash in my bag to handover to the dealer.

so if this time want to pay dp $50k ... think quite worried to lug that around in stacks of $50 notes...

btw, i have no "chequing" account.

Singapore's largest note in circulation is $10,000. Make prior arrangement with bank to collect the notes required. Your $50,000 will be 5 pieces of notes only. However, not safe to carry so much cash around. Just get bank to issue cashier's order or bank cheque.

Negotiate with SE for maximum amount of down payment with credit card. Does wonders for credit card points!

No more $10k notes le. $1k is the biggest now. Cashier's order is the easiest way, or if getting a Bentley, some UOB card can use.

Actually 50k worth of $50 notes also not that big stack la. Can put in one pocket. Done that when I was renewing my COE last Dec. One small stack in my pocket only.

IMO, ranking based on highest to lowest preference:

credit card > cash > loan

Thus far, my purchases have been with cc payment and I just forego the financing rebate. The savings from interest charges and the rebates from credit card more than offset the loan rebate. Lagi better when utilize card during promo periods like GSS - not only cc rebates but also plenty of freebies [laugh].

hmmm... your pocket must be very big ... 50k of $50 note is 1000 pcs ... thickness about 2 reams of A4 paper !!

dunno whether it was mentioned earlier in this thread ... but i just found out if want to pay full for a car without loan, have to pay extra a few Ks !
