2) 40+ years old still must serve reservist. (some of them semi-botak liao!!! [laugh] )

3) 80% trying very very hard to downgrade or in the process of down grading. [shakehead]

hahaha....that was what he complained about during his poly hospital attachement. He said the nurses (mostly fts) cant do the iv thing properly! Sure anot got such an appointment?

There are regular appointments in the SAF medical corps but I'm not sure if he can jump straight to it.

Can be the chief medic of the medical center or something but I reckon since sign on, might as well do something combat related.

Think MO is tough as you need to have the qualifications of a doctor.

No lah. No such thing as medic advisor.

But if I am the medic, I will damn stressed knowing my PC has nursing diploma.

During first PC interview, PC say I am on the shortlist and asked me keen to go to OCS or not. I told him not sure.

From the next day onward, I stayed low profile all the way but was selected for SISPEC.

The day we left for SISPEC, he asked me why I switched off after that interview, I told him honestly the extra 10 years was too long in my opinion.

I think he prefer a combat vocation....i told him with his diploma why not medic cost for sure the 1st few yrs will be tougher but once he 3rd sgt very chobolan unless battalion exercise. He just came back from Taiwan and he told his mom about the Brunei trip and told me he was going for JCC. When he was in camp then i stumbled into the formation badge.

He plans to study overseas once his army stint is over and i told him to stay overseas once he finished studying. I doubt those overseas will be called back for reservist!

Need to ask a few question. Is the badge To lead To excel To conquer given to all formation be it SCS (Sispec) and OCS during their leaders course or is it given to only the OCS cadets? Are all Cadets including those from SCS sent to Brunei for the JCC course? Hope forummers can give me on this insight as i am only a chiong suak type of guy in Infantry but know nuts about SCS and OCS!

"To lead To excel To overcome" is from OCS

Not sure "To conquer" is from where

Sispec motto is "with pride we lead" which is different from ocs, also the specialist are pass out to training of specialised arms course like aslc or soa. Don't think got time for jcc.

But that's a decade ago, scs new curriculum dunno liao.

With pride we lead

Got chair we sit

Got bed we sleep

Got food we eat

Got toilet we sh*t

Got test we cheat

Got training we report sick

Somethings we never forget. Advance & Overcome. Come over and get drunk.

I am sure your nco was just playing around. He would be using the machete if he meant it.

PC kan him infront of the whole platoon....when reach bunk...there was an exchange of words and fella came out from pc room....grab his personal bayonet and ran after the pc. We initially intervened until the rest of the sncos arrived....the pc ran straight to the platoon sgt for help. This happen during our nsf time back in 86......

thanks hor.....my son has the to lead to excel to conquer badte on his sleeve and going for jcc this feb. He told me he is in SCS and the badge is a formation that all cadets gets. I also confused as i know that the badge is for OCS. Maybe because he signed on....and is still on course as he signed last April! Not sure if SCS regular cadets gets to go for JCC or not....thats why i am confused.

He in infantry ? All Infantry spec and officers (NSFs) did went thru and obtain Combat Skill badge (badge with a SAR21 rifle).

For JCC or jungle survival is different level already.
