Thanks for your support of this thread...keep up the good work...I want to make this the number 1 thread....

Hope you understand that there is no case for those who sign for the non-guaranteed contracts.

I have had such an experience in 2001 with Kah Motors. I did not blame them even though the SE told me the same things your SE told you.

This thread will NOT forward your agenda.

How about starting thread that encourage everyone not to patronise any ADs for the next two months? I am sure the COE will come down drastically. You and those stuck in the remaining bidding sessions may just get your COEs. :)

Andrew, just STFU la. You are wasting time writing and writing in this car forum, you keep writing so much nonsense, why is an MD of a company accountable to you or the media (He has his own stakeholders/shareholders to account to)? You keep putting out stupid comments and replies, also do not accept other people's POV. Its just YOU, YOU and YOU.

Bro, cool down [:p] , I guess lots of 1st time buyer do not understand how the COE system works. They just have to learn through experience.

Cheers,

Its not our Agenda...in case you are not aware...the bunch of us that started this thread have either TOPPED UP or cancelled the orders already....we have come to terms with it already....as I keep telling everyone nothing can be done for ourselves already....what we are doing is a public service for the benefit of those who may not be aware of what they are getting into when they deal with Borneo motors....

If you find it irritating please go elsewhere....but of course since you appear to be interested in this discussion we welcome you....every time you write the thread goes to the top of the list! Keep it coming!

Sorry to have hurt your feelings...I really wasn't trying to be sarcastic...I am really wondering how come there are no complaints from customers of other dealers....why?

singapore market is smaller than a real life green pea.. u think Toyota will care about what's going on here? At the most they change the AD because sales target not realised.

I don't think this analogy is valid for BM case. The 11K did not go into BM bank account, but LTA. Based on latest COE price, even after top-up, it is still a few K discount for those booked during CNY promotion. Of course, I also agree with you this has nothing to do with the SE, we should not put the blame on them.

Cheers,

nice avatar u have there..

Hi all,

I started this thread because I realize that there are many people who have been affected by the Borneo CNY Fiasco....for those who do not know what I am talking about this thread is not for you!

Please stop abusing the Borneo Motors SEs....the real idiots behind this mess are those hiding behind them....

I urge you to direct your anger at them instead....

[email protected]

I am directing these questions to Borneo Motor MD, Mr. Koh Chin Hong:

1. How many CNY Promotion Orders did Borneo Motors take in? Was it sincere in wanting to fulfill them?

2. Of this number how many had to TOP UP?

3. How many got their cars eventually?

4. Why didn't Borneo bid earlier when COEs were lower? COEs can be kept 6 months...no need to wait till vehicle has arrived.....

I urge all who were affected to continue voicing their disatisfaction with Borneo...DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY SCOT FREE? Otherwise next time even the other dealers will follow their example...and buying car becomes like buying lottery....

Andrew

DO YOU KNOW THAT there are actually people who issue lawyer letter to BM? are you one of them? if not, why are you here continue whining?

Many thanks for the words of encouragement!

For those who oppose it, I also welcome well-reasoned comments....We want to make this the NUMBER 1 thread!

Hopefully Borneo's MD will respond...does someone out there have his email?

make it NO 2 thread lar, since you can't get the ALTIS, by doing NO 2, you get an AVANTE [laugh]

Honestly, I didn't know until now.

My previous purchases, all bid on 1st bid and got COE. 1 time need to top up $250, that was 6 years ago. So, I am assuming when I signed the purchase agreement, the AD will bid on the immediate upcoming round.

It is a surprise to me when everybody mention that it is normal for BM to sit on it for 4-5 rounds.

You have to look at the sheer number of cars that BM sells each month...

If they bid for each and every car, won't that push up the COE prices up even faster?

Auction is like that - it takes advantage of the kiasu-ness in each of us...prices only go up, not down!

can you provide a bit more details? How long after you paid did they bid for you? Did they make a serious bid?

DO YOU KNOW THAT there are actually people who issue lawyer letter to BM?

Wow! Really? I didn

Seriously, I feel its much better to bid COE ourselves than to let Dealer bid.

Agree. Dealers bid to profit cos each bid they won they sell a car. We bid to minimize cost. With us bidding ourselves COE prices would be much lower.

eh.. because of you?

I'm not surprised that if other AD like nissan, honda, kia, etc got customer like you and unluckily didn't get you a COE, they also will become the AD that have "a lot" of people that fail to get their COE.

if you read thru the thread, there's only a few that keep whining about BM not getting them the COE..
