Joemit7850 1st Gear July 19, 2010 Author Share July 19, 2010 bro, i am not here to spoil the happy family here. just feel kinda turn off with those cannot-make-it brothers.. yes, move on. stop all the finance help and start saving up for the good of you and your wife. think about it lah. siblings are to help one another, not depending on ONE. screw them lah!~ thanks bro.. i will not totally stop her cos this will not help either..cause her family finance are really bad.. her father 7th child only 2yrs old.. and he is in in his 70... how long can he take care of the child???? Arowana1 1st Gear July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 tell ur wife to kick them all out and do not support them. if she insist, dump her too. no wife should put their hubby to the limit, let alone support and tolerate a bunch of useless sh*t.
Joemit7850 1st Gear July 19, 2010 Author Share July 19, 2010 Agree that her hands are tight and not possible for her not to care for her family. But you can at least work out with here on issues such as unpaid phone bills (and how to prevent such thing happening in future, etc...) and like you said, how to be less proactive when minor problems arise in her family. That would be a good start. yup.. that why i told her i will not agreed in the future to open up line for any of her famile.....

Joemit7850 1st Gear July 19, 2010 Author Share July 19, 2010 Try not to put your wife into a difficult situation. Share your plea with her. If she do understand than probably you can arrange a "business trip" during your inlaw stay in singapore. Less conflict...less argument. I am sure your wifel will appreciate. Side track....Singapore guy always got one lucky and valid avenue to "run away". ICT !!!!! haha... you are right.. but my "business trip" only for 5 days.. how i wish they can extend... Watwheels Supersonic July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 Now you understand why some parents want their son to marry a woman whose family background is of the same or having similar status as theirs. It's for the son's own good.

Extreme lah. This will not solve the problems but burden TS's wife a lot more and TS's life will not improve either.
Fishy 4th Gear July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 i guess your wife from MY... mine is too... to a certain extent.. mine is abit similar too yours, as my wife would hope i can take care of her bros and sis... the difference is lucky they are very independent.... the reason we bought a flat initially was so her bros and sis can save on rental... which i am fine with it... but lucky they dun want to stay... its usually easy to invite them into the house but difficult to get rid of them
Mike1234 1st Gear July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 Talk to her...... Talk to her family..... I believe there's a line between helping and also depending heavily...... If TS feel that you have done enough, then i guess u shouldn't give in anymore.... Its good for guys to show our anger, else those ladies might think that we "ok" wif everything..... In the end, we end up suffering..... Man-UP!!!!

Man-UP!!!! honestly.. it impossible for me to talk to her family.. cause her family is very extreme.. she told me before.. they will prefer her not to get married and take care of her..rather than she married and give up on them... SimonTan 2nd Gear July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 Call up your unit to voluntee for early or double ICT! I think better finish all your expensive food like abalone. Stockup win instand noodles and luncheon meat! Best is everyday buy oily fried food for their breakfast and dinner! Feed them until they fat fat. Buy packets of oily peanuts and cans of cheap beer like jolly sandy! Buy butter bread and cakes! Cookies and sugared drinks. That's the best revenge you can give without actually Killing them! Sosaria Twincharged July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 I guess everyone will have this trouble, maybe in future, to some extent. Next time, for example, when in-laws grow old - who will take care of them if they have no sons, or son financially not able to? But TS case is extreme in the sense that so many siblings are involved. One or two freeloader, I think can be tolerated. That's why from very early on must not be afraid to play the bad guy. Set rules clearly. Never let relative (even your own side, yes!) borrow your money or property - it will only lead to more trouble in future.
Wutaowei Neutral Newbie July 19, 2010 Share July 19, 2010 With a firm tone, drum into your wife that smoking in the house is very harmful to the occupants in it, especially your kid(s). The smoke can also get to the people staying above & beside your house, depending on the wind direction. For the sake of your child and everyone else, get your wife to relate the message to her immediate family members in crystal-clear manner, once and for all. ↡ Advertisement
