(PHOTO: FACEBOOK) Another dead cat has been found in Yishun, despite an alleged cat abuser being arrested earlier this week. Cat interest group Yishun 326 Tabby Cat said that the cat was found at 3pm yesterday at Block 734, Yishun Avenue 5. "The cat has blood on its ears and mouth. The cat is a big sized female tabby about 7kg in weight," it said in a Facebook post. The group also appealed for witnesses or anyone with more information. The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) is performing a post-mortem to confirm if this is a case of abuse, Nee Soon GRC MP Louis Ng said. "I do believe there is more than one cat killer. AVA and SPF are actively continuing their investigations. The community is also continuing with their efforts on the ground," Mr Ng said. Urging anyone with information to contact the AVA at 1800-476-1600, he said: "I hope it's not another case of abuse, but it is still sad news that another cat died today. Rest in peace." So far, about 20 cats have been found dead or seriously injured in the Yishun area in the last three months, including yesterday's case. Only two have survived. On Tuesday, a 40-year-old man was charged with one count of animal cruelty. Lee Wai Leong allegedly threw a cat to its death from the 13th floor of a HDB block in Yishun.
