Pocus Turbocharged October 20, 2010 Share October 20, 2010 Yup. Now got all sorts of checks like 1. Can you take care of the child and give good life2. Will you export the child for sex-slavery3. Check on home, background, etc4. Psycho check on family, 3gen, etc Easier go China get one If go china or other countries adopt....please do a thorough check on the background and make sure the baby is healthy. Happened to my dad's friend. The poor couple couldn't conceive and are already almost in their 40s then. For some reasons they couldn't get a child for adoption here. When to china and picked up a cute looking baby from an orphanage. The kids was abandon since birth. Did the ownership procedures (I think during the 70s not so strict and quite easy). Came back to SG with child. After a few months, realise the baby is weird and very inactive. Bring to doctor for checkup. Doctor discovered the baby is having some rare neuro disorder that affects the growth if it's limps. This baby will never walk. Also the baby has some form of brain disorder too, not sure if it's down syndrome as dad didn't know too. The parents cannot return the kid still it's legally theirs. They spend all they have, sold their home and even send him to overseas for treatment. I think one of the couple was down with a major illness too but fought on. I guess now the kid is almost my age but wonder how is him, last heard from my dad he is still attending special school and still immobile. Although I pity the child for such illness, I pity the parents very more....However they are staunch christian and never once doubt their faith...stalute them for that. Was just a passing remark to Yattokame as a alternative option to true adoption. I'm not great, there are others far greater. I just help within my means.
