I Just booked my M6 today and am really looking forward to collect my ride! Any M6 chatgroup to join? I'm thinking of buying some useful accessories.

Congrats!

How much does it cost? I have a Friend who is keen on it. Thanks

Hi all, :)

Just bought my Mazda 6 one month back.

Am looking for soundproofing job.

Anyone tried CCS @ JB or Dats Auto @ SG?

Or any other recommended one?

Thanks!

CCS JB, done twice for Vezel Hybrid. Pricing quite reasonable, needs to find promotional pricing and packages for extra VFM.

Last few weeks, was considering btw Mazda 6 exec and Passat, opted for the latter due to better acceleration. But got to admit that Mazda 6 is really VFM!

I feel the aircon get a bit warmer when I stop longer at traffic jam or traffic light, is that normal?

I've disabled the istop, and also set the aircon to normal A/C Mode (not A/C ECO Mode).

I went to CCS JB yesterday to do soundproof on 4 doors and trunk. The results is quite good. The sound became ‘deeper’ when car or motorcycle passed by. Less intrusive.

Still a lot of noise coming through from the floor though. Need to consider doing floor soundproof to really cut down the noise significantly. :)

I noticed that some times too.

I asked my SA but she said it’s normal due to istop.

I haven’t tried disabling istop and see whether it’s the same though.

During istop, the air con compressor shuts down momentarily too so it is normal one feels warm after some time. Humidity sensor may automatically starts engine and compressor again if it detects higher than normal humidity after some time if vehicle remains stationary.

For istop I understand, but I found that it happened when istop is disabled as well.

It's not terribly uncomfortable, just get slightly warmer. But it could probably be significant during massive jam, like the one in causeway.

Not sure whether this is just my problem.

Try investing in a good set of floor mat. It works for me after i purchased 3d car mat. Such car mats are usually thicker than the stock mats.

Hi. May I ask where you bought your good set of floor mats from?

(edited)

From the notice, is related to cylinder deactivation

Our local Mazda 3 is 1.5 engine, doesn't have cylinder deactivation

Is the iStop also a kind of cylinder deactivation? Edited by S2s1

How much for the soundproofing? The doors how many layers? How long was the installation?

Did they test the NVH and suggest any area to do? I personally feel many road noise from tyre where maybe the soundproofing at wheel arch may help.

RM3k for 4 doors and trunk:

Doors - vibration damper, noise insulator, noise absorber, rubber tube.

Trunk - vibration damper, noise insulator.

Took about 4-5 hours.

Wheel arch and floor soundproofing will probably be my next plan. :)

Hello guys, sorry to disturb everyone, just met an issue with my mz6.. Long story short, after parking my car, switch off engine, was walking away, usually will auto lock, but noticed no sound. So used key to try to manually lock.. but car never respond.. went back in, tried to start Engine, but the start stop button began flashing in green... so used the method in manual, used the key to touch the start stop and started the engine. noticed a few anomalies... hud did not rise up (2016 mz6).. Mazda connect panel Remained switched off, whole system seems to have restarted.. brake button no more light... check engine light came on...

Any bros have similar experience? Is it car batt? Key fob batt? Or something else?
