Open cat coe went up by $3k to $39889 plus they increase the car price by $3k on 1 Aug. So now agent quote me $110888 with open cat coe immediate registration plus same free one yr road tax. Freebies I assume should be about roughly the same.

Possible. Either test drive or display unit. My test drive unit was 101,888. I also think July was just a good month to buy. Apparently my SE said they needed to make up the numbers. Their list price is always just for show. On paper in writing my car was $132,888. Lol

Wow. Then its a good price. I think the COE dipped, coupled together with the launch of the Mazda 3. So possibly, TEK is trying to sell as much units as possible.

 

I would have considered Mazda 6 if it wasn’t that common, and my previous ride was a vezel.

 

Mazda 6 is everywhere!

I would have considered Mazda 6 if it wasnât that common, and my previous ride was a vezel.

Interesting.. I find the new M6 quite rare on the road. Most of what I saw were the pre FL model (horizontal grill)

That price is a big steal for you considering its brand new and not test drive/showroom unit.

The previous M6 I know is the bigger version of the M3 then, during the period of Uber/grab fleet.

 

Fast forward, the m6 grill looks bigger and the new M3 is a smaller version of it.

$110,888 is for executive. But I saw a post in a few pages earlier that one of the guys here said he bought executive at $108k and just collected his new car in mid July?

Yea true. Our coe system plus how dealers always adjust the price with promo without promo makes comparing hard sometimes.

 

My quote is for executive model and the current promo that they have for last weekend.

Executive. I was lucky to buy it when COE was low (though my bidded COE price is @39k). The additional safety features like blind spot monitoring, lane assist comes in useful since it's quite a big car.

 

I wouldn't have bought the 6 if it was at today's price (was initially looking at 3 or Civic).

M6 grill is actually 'smaller'. M6 has the number plate below the grill while M3 has it in the 'mouth'

I wouldn't say COE price is the same since mine was priced based on earlier COE. Agreed that price is not as attractive to the consumer but AD margin is pretty low for M6 (as compared to M3)

This price is fantastic... I should have booked mine during my first visit to Mazda showroom, when the listed price was still 114888.... I just could not commit without doing some homework on the car features and reviews. By the time I made up my mind, listed price went up to 120888. Thanks to bro SpaceMooMoo, I managed to booked mine at reasonable discount and was given open cat COE without the need to go for bidding tomorrow. My advice is decide based on the discount given rather than the final price. The listed price usually fluctuats a lot thanks to our COE system in SG.

Meaning if current sgcarmart list price is $123888, after discount etc, the price quoted to me now $110888 is considered reasonable?

 

Although I understand everyone's definition/tolerance of reasonable discount is different.

 

Example here is $13k discount might be good for me but may not be to others. Up to each individual's level of comfort.

Yes I find it quite rare to see the latest M6 FL model on the road too.
 
I drove around the car park at my housing area and found only 2 (in about ~250 cars). Saw quite a number of Altis/Wish/M3/Cerato(K3).
 
There are even more E-Class than M6  [cool]

Mazda 6 has a lot of discounts not advertised or openly disclosed. Best is to visit the showroom and speak with a Sales person.

 

I recall the lowest price it was sold, was $96K earlier this yr.
