Since COE premiums going to increase further, i think this new model will cost close to 100k

If you buy the new avante now, shld not cost 100K and should price about the same as the forte, like 80K plus. But if few mths down the road, then nobody can predict whether will the price hit 100K.

no offence bro but i think the rear seats are too damn upright. not much support for leg area, esp the thigh as well. going to be uncomfortable during a long ride or bodies gg to move around alot during cornering.

i saw a hyundai i30, at least seats inside is slightly more sculptured to "wrap" the passenger. duno whether is stock or aftermarket.. but rear seats difficult to get aftermarket.

For the 1.6 saloon segment, the new Avante's design is arguably the best.

Motorists who want a fuel-economical and slightly more spacious car will opt for Altis.

Personally,Avante and Forte are my choices in this segment.

I think that Altis is even flatter [laugh]

just paid deposit for current Avante 1.6L S with the price of 73K. now thinking about changing the order to new Avante by toping up 7K more. though, i will have to wait about 3 months more while current Avante will be in hand withing 10 days. how will you suggest?

Glad that you have made the decision to go for the new model ..... the new model looks much much better than the current one. Specs also improve with the 6 Speed Auto.....I saw the car in Seoul, it looks very good.... IMO look better than the i45.

Yeah.I hope the facelifted/2nd generation i45 will be modified to look like its smaller sibling. The current i45's design is a little overcomplicated.

i45 is ok, just that I don't like the rear tail-light design. In fact, the i45 wins the K5 for me.

I feel i45's drive is not as engaging as K5.

Well,to each his own.

Well, in Singapore, I care more about the comfort rather than the drive. And no doubt, Hyundai's are tuned to be more comfortable and softer than Kia's.

Kia are tuned to be more sporty, thus having more driver's involvement.

Maybe that is why many towkays get the Merc S class which is renowned for its comfort beside the badge of course.

Yuppies seeking driving dynamics will purchase BMW 5 or 7 series.

Heard from KMC sales that they have garner a few pre-orders for the new Avante. Is there any brave foummer here put down the cheque?

Before the Avante is available for testdrive? That is damn gutsy.

I suppose so, especially with so many jams on the roads these days. Power isn't really needed here in Singapore. Just a quiet, and relaxed drive home would do the job just fine.
