Proton_neutron 1st Gear March 13, 2011 Share March 13, 2011 I suppose the next generation of the Avante would cross the 4.6m length barrier. It seems that 1.6L sedans these days are going that direction. See the VW Jetta and Renault Fluence, and even the Volvo S60. ↡ Advertisement

Kar_lover Supercharged March 13, 2011 Share March 13, 2011 Prefacelift model manual....! Mentioned before that the old model forte/koup is actually a good buy now. New model much more expensive but not really a night-and-day difference, even performance or FC wise. They should have included electric seats and DRLs are common nowadays and inexpensive. Jetta and Fluence got large body but not large inside... The Avante was rated as mid-size car in US.. The new Sonata also not stupid as the Accord which go beyond 4.9m

Mike1234 1st Gear March 14, 2011 Share March 14, 2011 (edited) Well, in Singapore, I care more about the comfort rather than the drive. And no doubt, Hyundai's are tuned to be more comfortable and softer than Kia's. Kia are tuned to be more sporty, thus having more driver's involvement. Cos last time KIA is actually built more towards "Sporty" trend Comparing I45 with K5 I45 ,IMO have nicer interior , dashboard, seats Edited March 14, 2011 by Mike1234
Majordan 2nd Gear March 14, 2011 Share March 14, 2011 Heard from KMC sales that they have garner a few pre-orders for the new Avante. Is there any brave foummer here put down the cheque? i find that very hard to believe. this is not limited edition high end car, who would want to confirm order before even seeing or test drive? salesmen talk c--k la... Majordan 2nd Gear March 14, 2011 Share March 14, 2011 i thk hyundai going for more classy look, aka i45 and new AVante and Kia going for more sporty look i.e. K5 & Forte Overall i prefer the Hyundai look.. but once every mother son uncle start driving the same car, the look become no look liao

If you still can't get it, the next next generation of Avante would probably cross the 4.6m length mark. We haven't had the new Jetta, how you know it's not big inside? The outgoing Jetta sure is cramp though. The Fluence has a large interior. Bigger than the Sonata Taxi in fact.

I agree. When a car gets too popular, no matter how stylish it is, it becomes a mundane scene. You see it everywhere, there's nothing special about it already. Crossing the 4.6m mark doesn't sound sensible when you can actually create more room within it... And there is a massive 70mm for the Avante to cross, which is a lot considered the 2011 Avante is only 25mm longer than the outgoing model... I know it based on US government's official figure Jetta is officially 2 cubic feet less roomier than the 2011 Avante despite the fact that the Jetta is 10cm longer than the Avante... No suprise that the Fluence is rommy inside considered many yrs ago when Sylphy also achieve the same result...

The whole package of the car is attractive. Large exterior, good quality interior, spacious rear seats. The new Avante actually is the same length as the old Avante. 4530mm. Depends on the various car models. 4.6m may mean larger interior space, or more boot space, or longer engine bay. It all depends. But one thing that is hard to ignore, is the massive road presence for a 1.4L-1.6L sedan.
