i believe the birth of this slogan was when ida made a mistake and had to pay singtel a few million to compensate them.

There was also another guy who cheated millions and walked thru the gates of Changi Airport and flew to HK to hide. He was subsequently arrested in HK and deported back to SG. His wife was prosecuted in HK for assisting his escape.
