look how much this man has aged from his early days till now. even with his current condition, one can feel his passion to serve the pple. shame on those whose heart has sway.

come on... sito won because the idiots who voted for him were taken in by the years of threat of the pap not throwing in enough funds for potong pasir...

any prick would know this...

you live in potong pasir?... i have been to Chiam see tong's rallies since the 90s....

Because souls are cheap. A few lifts and sheltered walkways are all that's needed.

For those who voted for Lina, I respect you. You have backbone and integrity.

For the 4.83% in my GRC who voted for PAP, I don't know what to say.

Heard that the Town council in PP and Hougang collect lesser CC fees as compared to those under PAP, is that true? If yes, then did PP residents just voted for an increase in CC fees?

That's why I hope this GE will cause people to repent. And no, it won't be the people of Aljunied GRC.

to the FCUKERS who didnt vote for Mr Chiam... knn if you so like PAP why dont early early move out of Potong Pasir to else where got the upgradings you all want?... This Potong Pasir 27yrs liao Mr Chiam and his people serving... Singpore already not enough opposition to speak up in parliment... and now less/no voices from SPP... the PAP will continue to have the power to enforce rules and regulations to their advantage... KNS ALL IDIOTS TO VOTE PAP FOR POTONG PASIR... PUI....

Why scold my neighbors F-word?? I live in PP, I respect their decision. PP is full of elderlies, who may need the lift upgrading urgently than us. I don't blame them if that's the reason. I'm not in their shoes, I won't understand how important having lift at every level means. My FIL needs walking frame to walk. Every 50m he needs to rest. I don't blame him if he vote PAP..

If you don't stay here, STFU.. You don't know what PP community is. Despite our differences, even politically, we are still neighbor 1st.

I thought the lift upgrading already a go ahead?? It was already a go ahead before the elections. Seriously ,those who never stay in Hougang and PP should go walk around the town and see how the estate is. Its nothing like what PAP has been saying. And you have to live here to actually know the pros and cons better.

Yup, go ahead, brought by Sitoh claiming credit. My In-laws voted yes for the lift.. So you know the old folks, what matters..

if J.B. Jeyaretnam was alive today...

he would be happy and proud to see Worker's party's results...

and if he saw what happened to RP... he would R.I.P instantly....

Why? Without RP, AMK GRC people will be like TP GRC, no chance to vote.

I feel whatever the results, all the different parties have put in the effort to give people a chance to exercise their right. [thumbsup]

So sad that the one team was late by 35 sec. Effort not good enough.

Potong Pasir may cease to exist. Probably disappear into Bishan, Toa Payoh, Moulmein, Kallang or another newly formed GRC.

Even if Potong Pasir remains per its current boundaries, it may see much infrastructure investment by the Temasek linked companies (CapitaMall) or the PAP-controlled Stat Boards (Libraries, Swimming Complex, etc). By the time 5 years are up, the residents there would have been addicted to all the new stuff going on in their neighbourhood and they become just like the rest of 60% of Singkies in their slumber. Getting fcuked in the arse is no problem if got library and swimming pool, understand?

exactly...

Turbocharged

Lets give credit to seetoh..

If upgrading is the carrot, it would have worked 2 elections ago

He rejected to go to a grc as he only want to serve pp people

He requested pap to let him contest the elections his way

Cst and mrs chiam are worlds apart

My only concern is the chiams may have lost their livelihood...

I'm curious why you are always defending pap. Especially when you said

"I can think of many reasons not to vote for pap but I can't think of a single reason to vote for the opposition"

YOUR POST HAS JUST SHOWN EVERYONE HERE WHAT A c--k YOU ARE... VOTE IN FAVOUR OF A BLOODY WALKWAY UPGRADE... YOU GOT BRAINS ANOT?...

THE PAP THREATENS POTONG PASIR THAT IF PAP IS NOT VOTED IN, GET PREPARED FOR POTONG PASIR TO REMIAN WITH NO/LESS UPGRADES... AND EVRYONE IS SCARED... KNN IS THIS FAIR?... IS THIS DEMOCRACY?... THREATENING THE PEOPLE OF POTONG PASIR... AND YOU VOTE FOR THEM?... USELESS PRICK WITH NO BACKBONE...

I DO NOT STAY IN POTONG PASIR NOW... BUT I STUDIED IN ST ANDREWS JR SCHOOL SINCE THE PRE-WAR COMPOUND WAS THERE. I HAVE TONS OF FRIENDS LIVING IN POTONG PASIR... I GREW UP IN POTONG PASIR...

The blame for no lift upgrade is the PAP playing dirty, not the fault of Chiam.

I don't blame your neighbour, I blame PAP & I have little respect to PM Lee & many of the minister for that matter. No PAP MP also speak up against this idea to link upgrading as a carrot. [thumbsdown]
