Asd78 Clutched November 24, 2013 Share November 24, 2013 I never visit any showroom yet get at least 30 property SMS per month, all from different number so no way to block. Any idea what will be the penalty after the registry is effective? I make sure I report for each SMS I receive. We also need No Flyer Registry Penalty I was told is going to be set at $10k for the one who called and $1mill for the company. Not sure how reliable this info is but it seems abit on the high side. Mockngbrd Supersonic November 24, 2013 Share November 24, 2013 (edited) Easiest if you have an android phone is yo get a blocking app. Like mr number. Very effective in blocking unwanted text and immediately cancels unwanted calls. You all have to go read the no call registry fine print. Signing up does not automatically mean you won't get any more spam. Basically signing up just means you hav the right to tell tthese spammers not to call you and after that it is somewhat enforceable. But those spammers who already hav you on their call list before u signed up can still spam you until you inform them otherwise Or that's what I think I read. Blocking apps are much better and more ssatisfying. Esp when u See the same telemarketer trying to call a few times. + go property launch best to use tthese spam numbers to register interest Edited November 24, 2013 by Mockngbrd

But you're just passively submitting yourself to be spammed. What we need is to fight back, to get even. And that means getting these spammers to be fined, to be jailed, if possible. For those who will sign up and still get spammed, take the next step; and bring the enforcement down on them. Otherwise, you all look like pussies. Kb27 Supersonic November 24, 2013 Share November 24, 2013 hate those bloodily property agent who keep sharing your phone no after you sign in at one of those property launch. one day can easily receive 5 sms on those new launch, after u submit UN, you still receive non stop from other agent. hope all these agent go bust with zero sales, now a days go see property, NEVER sign in. From the spam SMS I get, I didn't get them from companies like ERA. I get them from spam kings like Huttons, Knight Frank. If anyone wants to boycott, these are the companies you should boycott. Never do business with them.
Dark 5th Gear November 24, 2013 Share November 24, 2013 this one under HDB few options : hang a 'Pay $50 to drop junk mail to my door' on your door hang 'Fierce Dog Inside. Will bite if junk mail dropped' use as padding for pots use as toilet papers I've got a dog who'll bark at whoever at the door, but they still very zhai slot the flyers at my metal gate swiftly and left. I'll have to pacify my dog after that. Penalty I was told is going to be set at $10k for the one who called and $1mill for the company. Not sure how reliable this info is but it seems abit on the high side. Must be maximum fine then. High is good else not effective.

The_Bear Turbocharged December 1, 2013 Share December 1, 2013 (edited) Dun understand wads e big deal abt this. All along if u dun wish to rec sales calls/sms/mailers u can actually juz inform e organisation ( like banks) its ppl who dun even bother to do this and still complain abt sales calls who shld evaluate themselves instead of scolding. Im nt supporting these sort of calls but come on ppl have to do smth for a living. Nt every1 is lucky to get gd paying jobs n this miggt be their only option so cut em some slack. Its simple to juz reject and inform them nt to call u ever again no? Weird hw some ppl tink oFirstly it is not a big deal. I don't think anyone here thinks it is a big deal. It is irritating and an intrusive way of marketing which most people find unappealing. There are real jobs out there that are more productive, even in 3rd world countries, like being a farmer. There will always be such people who seek the easy way out by intruding upon others on what seems to be a legit excuse for labor. At the end of the day, no one makes it a career because they eventually see the writing on the wall that such tactics are number games with all the advantages to the call company. Even in Singapore, there are many sectors that have a shortage of local (Sgp/ PR) manpower yet we receive a huge proportion of calls from tele-marketers with a distinct Filipino accent. I have done all that you have mentioned but the calls and msgs still keep coming in at all ungodly hours. I cut them some slack, who cut me some slack?
