Why bother? If can forget once you can forget 2nd, 3rd....101st time. Wait for something to give way dan decide what to do next lor.

i did it once a few yrs ago at a car wash....so the handbrake was only on for a few metres....

anyway, can get mechanic to check ur brake pads....for ease of mind, can also go to a slope, pull handbrake n see if the car slides...

That's why must buy conti cars. The onboard display will warn you the handbrake is still engaged, usually with loud chime.

Pls lor. Even Nissan Cabtar LORRY also will warn the driver with a loud chime if the handbrake is still engaged when moving off.

Neutral Newbie

recently i had 2 occasion of forgetting to release handbrake and drove the car for some distance before realising. everything seems normal after that until lately i have this two issues...

when my car is in stationary and with auto gear in neutral or parking position and my handbrake is pulled up, the car seems to vibrate and the engine sound is louder than normal. but when i shift into driving gear, the engine sound becomes smooth again

another issue is after parking my car overnight and i drive again next day, when going up and down a hump, there is a 'scraping feeling', sometimes even feel it when turning, this also disappear after driving some distance.

Did not had such issues before, can anyone advise what is the possible problem/cause?

I have done it the first day I pick up my ride. Drive from Alphine motor all the way to entering PIE, and then realized the hardbrake is never released...

Haaha... yup, happened to me when I got my 1st car (Kia Rio 1.5 too) from Pandan C&C
