mrt breakdown is track fault, line fault, signal fault ... can also blame sky fault

Recently seems many cases of train fault and track fault. But don't cause major disruption only.

A poll commissioned by the LTA showed that commuters were more satisfied with public transport last year than in the last five years.

Commuters were more satisfied last year with public transport than they had ever been in the last five years, a poll commissioned by the Land Transport Authority showed, reported The Straits Times

The latest annual Public Transport Customer Satisfaction Survey revealed that the satisfaction level inched upwards by 0.5 points to reach 91.8 percent - the highest since 2010. It was the second consecutive improvement since the government pumped in billions to expand the public bus fleet, and ramped up a rail renewal programme on the older North-South and East-West MRT lines.

The satisfaction level for bus services improved for the third consecutive year, rising slightly to 90.7 percent. The most significant improvement was in waiting time, which rose to 72.4 percent. Despite that, waiting time remained the lowest-scoring component of the bus satisfaction matrix. Bus reliability rose by 5.4 points to 84.2 percent.

The satisfaction level for MRT services also rose, despite the unprecedented breakdown in July that affected nearly half a million people. Waiting time posted a 3.9 point improvement and service information was 3.7 points higher. However, the MRT scored somewhat poorly for crucial components such as reliability and comfort. They stood at 83.7 and and 78.9 percent, respectively.

Overall, public transport commuters were most satisfied with accessibility to bus stops, stations and interchanges (90.2 percent). Next came safety and security (90 percent).

I only take train on occasional Sundays to send my kids to classes. 2 stops only. Yeah, I'm satisfied it didn't breakdown. LoL...

But seriously this kinda ownself pat ownself on the back should stop.

Score 80% for reliability and comfort is called scored poorly? [laugh] Maybe out of 200%.

I think this survey target commuters like those who take train occasional, during off peak hours or 1-2 stops only. That's why they are satisfied with the public transport. Try interview those commuters taking train during the peak hours, esp at Jurong East MRT in the evening, see whether are they really satisfied?! [shakehead]

Trapped for 25 mins? Looks like anything to do with smrt breakdown, default must trapped for at least 20 mins or more!
