Normal maintenance of auto gear box are just fluid change, no need go to specialist unless there is some mechanical fault.

 

As for your Honda, i would suggest you do your auto oil change every 30-40k km, upgrade your auto fluid to honda dw-1 as Z-1 has been superseded since 1yr ago.

try ellipse auto transmission at sin ming

did my repair last yr on vios auto tranny in no time and price quoted is much cheaper than khang auto.

 

 

For GearBox or Auto Transmission, just go to Ellipse Auto Transmission at sin ming 64560090 will do.

Overall results is good and low cost.

No cannot, for honda CVT fluid you have to use Honda CVTF or HMMF but can also consider Eneos CVT fluid as we have alot of feedback from customers that the "lock-up" from Eneos seem faster, less rubber band effect.

If you are using the Honda CVT...get the Hondamatic CVT oil...one tine swee swee for one gearbox. You can get at Tanly Auto or from Kah Motor...price not that diff.

Honda fluids are just rebranded. The manufacturer is Idemitsu if I am correct....

Under the Sun good leh, i always bring lots of hard to find stuffs in, even the hard to find GC i also manage to find it after some many years. Got to bring one box home for my next oil change. Edited May 17, 2012 by Trex101

It's true Honda consumables are rebranded OEM

During the first 40k, I paid for ATF fluid replacement. Not sure if it was done at all or used the correct fluid. as there is no dipstick to check, only filling and drain plugs.

Now for the 100k km, I decided to buy ATF fluid and get mechanics to change it.

Using Toyota ATF WS as specified in manu at RM $105 per 4L tin.

When oil ATF fluid from both transmission and rear GB were drained out,to my surprise it was still fresh red and clean.

Do a full flush, drain and topup not thorough, the diff is almost a litre of fluid remain inside the gb.

Do we need to replace ATF fluid if WS spec fluid is used?

I have this worry too, and thus the recent replacement, but the old ATF drained out, revealed, similar colour as new ATF

Especially those drained from rear axle, 4 yrs.
