DSLR or ILC?

ok,iam not very sure with ILC.

as iam using DSLR,i had never looked back.lol

I have been SLR all my life including flims. When i started to use X100, it give me a different perspective for photography. From now on, i think i will go prime lens as it is lighter & more about composition.

Yes... this in one of the best lense, EF70-200mm F2.8L IS II USM.

This a fast lense. The image edge is still very sharp even at 200mm.

 

The next lenses, IMO, worth waiting and buying is the EF24-70mm F2.8 II USM, but w/o IS.

i had read that they are even smaller than the 1.6x crop sensor iirc.

 

In the market, the exceptional brand that have full frame for mirrorless is Leica M9

Other than that, Sony uses 1.6.

The rest using smaller.

honestly,

when i travel with wife,

i always take her pictures, when she admiring ,

end up my view is as good as the view finder,

even my breathing is controlled as i do not want shaky camera.

 

admire the moment, dl from internet later for such pic.

NEX sensor is definitely same as DSLR. In fact they are the same sensor as Nikon D7000.

 

what you saying about smaller than 1.6x crop sensor are those 4/3 cameras......

 

Not many people are as high class as you, bro. You can afford to use full frame.....

i salute you guys for being so game to carry so much gear. I mean i am still hesitant to jettison my bridge and the bridge category because i would like an all round performer which will imply me lugging helluva of gear most of time. I am just bitter with Canon not giving me at least a APS-C sensor in the bridge camera category. Why does Canon have to give me either a prosumer category with large sensor and virtually non existent zoom i.e. G series or a megazoom category with tiny sensors i.e. SX series.

 

The Canon ILC solves most of your problem what. Sensor size between APS-C and Micro 4/3.

Has up to 110+- mm lens. No interchangeable lens so u wont have extra gear to carry.

 

Only disadvantage is that lens is slow.

To my noobish eye, no regrets and can pack everything into a small camera bag with 2 lens.

 

DSLR really too big, together with my diving gear which i pack on my trips sometimes, can die.

i used to own the 24-70mm but sold it for the 16-35mm as i change my set up.

yes,iam now eagerly waiting for the version 2 to be out,but i heard its not going to be cheap,$3k thereabout.

and i believe it will be another good lens.

i believe u should know the focal length are not the same.

u can also consider the 70-200mm F2.8 IS,this is also a very good lens second to the IS II.

can get it a slightly below $2k for 2nd hand.
