haha. well, we can have a first hand account of your KPKB if there are delays....

I haven’t had any unpleasant experience with Scoot.

 

I took SQ from PEK to SG. Kenna bump to next flight because of overbooked.

 

Customer recovery was fantastic

My buddha palm not so good la.

 

I get hotel room & free hotel food while waiting.

 

SQ gave me 1st row of Econ class on upper deck of A380 on next flight.

 

My cabin Rimowa was stored together with biz class passenger.

 

SQ manager lead me to board together with biz class passenger.

 

Somemore shout my name loud loud like VIP.

Bro,

Not every flight delay can claim. You better check the T&C with the insurer.

And the letter from the Airlines, plays a big part.

same for my case with Garuda departing Jakarta. Fire at the terminal burned down their computer server. Big mess. They tried to do manual check-in. Affected all their domestic and international departures. Was told by ground staff to wait... after 10hrs, gave up waiting there and went back to my hotel. Eventually returned to SG 48hrs later. Got official letter from Garuda (in both Bahasa and English) for the delay.  

 

no insurance payout as they only cover structural defects to the aircraft. Computer server not included!

 

oh, and of course no compensation from Garuda. The crowd (mostly locals) almost riot at the terminal when I was there on the original departure day. Eventually there was some kind of compensation for them I think. Garuda certainly didn't contact me.

They never heard of doing back up?

 

I think they need to learn about disaster recovery.

for an Indon airline, they're already the clear leader in the domestic market.

 

this was the first n last time I took Garuda for an international flight!
