Some of the shops there, especially level 4 and 5 selling parts are alright. Shops like Fuwell, Cybermind, Cashtronic, Bliss have been there for a long time. People should open their eyes big big and do some homework before heading over there.

Then again, those ah beng shops mostly target tourists who are ignorant.

where is the HK equivalent of SLS?? [grin]

How the Chinese gossip paper know so much about these crooks? Must be someone bao toh.

These crooks will never go away. They will just wait for things to tide over and chut pattern again.

As of now, they know the current law can't do much to them.. only the media keep on pestering..

If everything quiet in 2-3 weeks and without any media reporters there, these errant owners will just come out again and set their stores wide open... waiting for innocent tourists to come in and bite again ...

HK has 4 computer centres. Biggest is at Sham Shui Po. Just went there last week to buy a few things. Phone accessories are super cheap. One iPhone lightning cable only HK$9 which is just S$1.50!

Then there is one at Mong Kok and two at Wan Chai.

Speaking from a SLS regular (I worked part-time there during the weekends in my poly days, and bought all my PC parts from there).. SLS is still a good place to look for computer parts, especially if you know the people who works there.

For electronic devices like cameras and mobile phones, other than a few select shops, i usually avoid those at level 1 and 2 like the plaque.

I just bought a dot-matrix printer from videopro. No one seemed to be selling these type of printers anymore.

I also bought 2-ply NCR paper there. Again hard to find elsewhere.

It's only the few shops at level 1,2 giving the whole place a bad name.
