I am already here.  Will be here for the next few weeks just to eat and chill, but if I get bored, will go back to SG early.

Somehow, life here in MY suddenly feels running at 0.5x. Felt so relax.  Life in SG seems to be running at 1.5x.  Even chill to drink kopi at  SG, I also have to rush cos people sometimes waiting for table.😅

I used to drive in just to chill, sit at their starbucks, relax, do my work stuff then drive back 😁

While stocks last... or is it a scarecrow?

Malaysia central bank to intervene in FX markets as ringgit losses 'excessive'

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia’s central bank said on Tuesday that it will intervene in the foreign exchange market to stabilise the ringgit currency, citing what it called “excessive” recent losses.

The ringgit is trading near a seven-month low and has lost close to 6 per cent of its value against the US dollar in 2023, declining more than its peers in South-east Asia. The Malaysian currency is down about 5 per cent against the Singapore dollar in the year to date.

Bank Negara Malaysia said the extent of the ringgit’s depreciation was not reflective of economic fundamentals, and that recent volatility was also disproportionately higher than historic movements.

“As per its statutory mandate, Bank Negara Malaysia will intervene in the foreign exchange market to stem currency movements that are deemed excessive,” the central bank’s Assistant Governor Adnan Zaylani said in a statement.

The value of the ringgit will continue to remain market-determined, he added.

Ongoing government efforts to strengthen the export-driven economy will help to ensure that the ringgit better reflects the country’s fundamentals, he added.

Earlier in June, Malaysia’s finance ministry said it would implement structural policies aimed at boosting fund inflows and foreign investment that can support the ringgit. REUTERS

They want to strengthen currency means what huh?

4 to 1 instead of 3 to 1 is it?

:D

I believe them!

Why did the A&W 1/3 lb burger fail?

Simply put: the A&W one third pounder failed because the average USA person did not understand fractions.

They thought Macs 1/4 is bigger than A&W 1/3 pounder burger.

The larger question is why no one put the hand to stop the leak like the boy who put his finger to stop the dam
