[KUALA LUMPUR] The Malaysian ringgit – one of the worst-performing currencies in Asia this year – continued its slide as it hit an all-time low of RM3.45 against the Singapore dollar on Thursday (Jun 15).

This marked a nearly 8.5 per cent depreciation from a year ago, and a 4.2 per cent dip since the start of the year.

Against the greenback, the ringgit touched RM4.6362 on Thursday – a 4.7 per cent decline from 12 months ago, and 4.5 per cent weaker than the rate on Jan 1 this year.

I am already here.  Will be here for the next few weeks just to eat and chill, but if I get bored, will go back to SG early.

Somehow, life here in MY suddenly feels running at 0.5x. Felt so relax.  Life in SG seems to be running at 1.5x.  Even chill to drink kopi at  SG, I also have to rush cos people sometimes waiting for table.😅

I drank a can of Pokka green tea at a JB kopishop yesterday and it cost approx. S$0.80.

In SG, my kopishop downstairs charge me S$1.80 for that same can of Pokka drink. 😨

So yes, if 1:5, I can understand why better go in and don't come out liow.....😄
