Do you all feel that the aircon fan is too warm at one bar but too cold at 2 bar?   Any workaround?

I always start with 2 and turn to 1 after it gets a bit too cold for my liking

Do any Altis brothers feel that the steering wheel can turn a bit left and right even though travelling on a straight road.

Never really take note of it as my hands mostly on the wheels when driving

However you need to know that SG road is a bit slanted to 1 side for water flow so that may be the cause (I read this somewhere before)

Just wondering new car must 98. Heard from someone. For first 10k milleg

Never heard abt this.

However using 95 I clock about 13.6, using 98 clock about 14 and more responsive

yea. you can even pump 92 if you want. no worries. the car manual stated 91 and above, which also means 92 in singapore context. dont listen the your SE when she tell you to pump only shell cause of the new cvt engine. all petrols will work so long as it is RON92 and above. personally i pump 95 spc.

my se told me to pump 95 [crazy]

I pump 98 cos more responsive ... 95 tends to be a bit sluggish...

Too me, 95 from all brands feels the same after awhile. 92 is more obvious, not that fuel efficient. 98 and above, seems to feel better but after awhile, it feels the same. I rem trying all the different brands over a period, recorded down the miledge. Juz hve to calculate if the higher price justify for better miledge over long periods. Been on 95 for 7-8 yrs. No issues. Just have to light-footed, service regularly with better engine oil. Yr fc shld be maintained well.

I tried setting the aircon to Auto mode at 25.5 degree and seems to achieve your recommendation - it will start with 2 bar and end with 1 bar.  But on Auto mode, it will blow the body and not the legs.

There was a tear in the front seat of my Jul 13 Altis.

Still under warranty and BM's seat supplier agreed to replace it.

As the seat colour is no more in stock, the supplier agreed to change the leather cover for the whole car.

Had it fitted at the suppliers shop yesterday.

This morning, when I opened the boot, I was surprised to be able to see the back of the seat.

Is this normal or have they forgotten to fit back a 'cover'.

Pic is taken from outside the boot. The brown part is the seat.

Have googled for images of Altis boot – none show the seat is visible from the boot end!

UPDATE:

1) for those who don't know/aware, BM provide a year warranty on 3 dings/scratches. pls check the details in your documents. i'm sending my ride in tomorrow to deal with a ding, and respray engine cover and boot. will take about a week. still not decided on the front bumper (front mysteriously got scratched at corner during CNY).

please visit their bodyworks centre at pandan (the only one), to have a visual inspection, before the year is up. no need to call in advance. and then make an appointment (which the Q is about a month for me) to send in the ride. abt 3days per panel to spray.

2) i got a knock on my rear bumper around january. heart pain. a dent in the middle right at the bottom of the bumper. decided to get some accessories from taobao to cover.

i got lower chrome plates for my 4 doors (the ones that BM recently launched in their accessories), and also the chrome cover to cover that bottom portion of bumper. so if you see a silver altis with the black word ‘COROLLA' on chrome at the rear bottom bumper, it's me.

please note many of what they offer are for their local models (levin), so some things won't fit our model. damage was about 150SGD plus shipping.

3) for those with cold aircon issue, seems like after using it sparingly for a year, the aircon is not that ridiculously cold anymore.

also...

4) i have problems with cold start. very random. press button for 2-3 secs, sometimes it fire halfway, and dies off. have to press again. at times when i let go, the engine die down. have to press again.

already visited service centre, but they can't catch the problem. any fellow drivers have the same issue?

Your practise is

a) step brake and press the button to start immediately ?

or

b)  press the button twice to "ON" before step brake and press the button to start ?
