nazerath Turbocharged May 19, 2015 Share May 19, 2015 recently when I looked, it seems that basic economy tires got, but if looking for something more “sporty”, they seem to be in the 17 or above class and the stocks are 1 year or so older. seems to be offered xm ep etc.. maybe I looked the wrong shops. ↡ Advertisement
Extremme 4th Gear May 20, 2015 Author Share May 20, 2015 why is Michelin Tyre (Thailand) better than Yokohama (Japan)? Not to discriminate but just curious
Furrynadz 5th Gear May 20, 2015 Share May 20, 2015 michelin quality is quite consistent as compare to other brands that have minor problems / suitability for hot climate such as high wear rate for conti and cracking for goodyear yokohama is not bad but they are quite far behind already with most models in their range like 3-4 generations behind, yokohama compound tend to harden fast in our climate also, usually 10k

DanHamilton August 18, 2015 Share August 18, 2015 (edited) Bridgestone tyres would be the best option. Check this link, they have fuel efficient tyres as well. Look no further than Bridgestone Tyre Centre for the best price, service and care on tyres. They’ll keep you rolling with fitting, balancing, wheel alignment, quick puncture repairs, fluid checks and a selection of vehicle components such as alloy wheels and batteries. alphard96 6th Gear August 23, 2015 Share August 23, 2015 any reviews on - http://www.yhi.com.sg/tyres/yokohama%20/v551 Find the advance DB provides better grip compared to aspec DB (slippery especially wet indoor HDB carpark),but both still quiet. However, still prefer bridgestone turanza GR90 - all rounder. Perhaps consider the latest GR100 (shd be better I supposed, sorry but no experience with this latest version)

If one got choice why does he want to suffer this kind of thing thanks for sharing anyway agree with you. Advise get proper size wheels/tyres shd OR/AND approved bodykits (designed for that car). Suspension play a role too - perhaps the car too low with aftermarket shock absorber.
Roberttan 5th Gear August 24, 2015 Share August 24, 2015 i was told by a tyre shop that yokohama better because it is made in Japan and he showed me his car was using yoko, but personally I will go for other brands like michelin, conti, pirelli etc sometime I don't buy product by country of produced. if the shop said japan yokohama is better, may be we should check with Japan yokohama his japan produced is better than those produced outside Japan? Yokohama better don't move their production outside Japan because everyone know only Japan produced is better Be a wise consumers don't be misled by some of this unethical shop marketing practice.
