biztycl 1st Gear December 7, 2015 Share December 7, 2015 Have such high pay. Googled and found MX9 pay scale for Deputy Director at $15k. Pay grade: MX9 (Superscale) Job title: Deputy Director, Director Salary scale: S$11,110 – S$15,280 / S$15,280 – S$17,370 Don't over glamourize government pay leh, it's not so fantastic. Job title and pay grade doesn't always gel depending on the ministry or Statutory Board you are in. Generally if you are a Director in a Ministry you should be minimally an entry level MX9 (superscale), but in some big ministries even the Deputy Director level levels are superscale. In small Statutory Boards, sometimes one maybe titled as Director but he/she is really just non-superscale (MX10) and below. Superscale also not so easy to achieve, supervisory ratio is 1 to 50 to 100s. In the private sector, if you could lead 50 above subordinates I'm sure your salary scale is above $10k too.
