The previous night watched 2 boring games, and missed the most boring one (portugal-Croatia). France played well only after Ireland lost steam and heart the moment Griezmann scored. Could have scored at least 3-4 more but eased off. The worrying part was they didn't seem really like scoring up till that point. German is clinical as usual. Should go far. Saw the highlights of the belgium match. That Hazard is really something the way he was playing. Mourinho must be cursing him for playing so badly to get him sacked... Before they scored, I thought it was going to be payback time for Henry's handball, as France despite the big names, couldn't really threaten much. Irish doggedness was threatening to spoil the party. Imagine in the whole Irish team, i only know Long, whom i think used to play in S-League, and Coleman. But almost the whole french team are big names. What took them so long to break Ireland down? Belgium has talents. Lukaku didn't even score, and they won by 4... About equal but the fouls are shocking. Studs planted down shins which result in torn socks could easily caused bad injuries. Card happy ref who is being hounded by both teams showed the ugly side of football. A brilliant Claudio Bravo save from an Aguero header displayed the beautiful side of the game. But the 2nd goal broke the back of Hungary. skrtel is strange. He has the aggressive look and build, but uses it at the wrong time, always. About time he gets called for those blatant fouls in the box more often - as long as not in Reds shirt Soccer is interesting, and unpredictable. Slovakia had a very good chance at 1-0, but Neuer showed why he's one of the best around, flew to save a good header that I think 95% of keepers will have let in. Had Slovakia scored, it would have been much more exciting game. Good show by Hungary. One of the teams that I didn't give any chance to, but put up credible show. The sloppy back pass that exposed his leftback, wah the speed he sprinted out to clear the ball is phenomenal for a keeper. I don't think even most outfield players can move that fast. He's the only GK in the world who reads the danger and moves that fast. Playing with him is macham like having a sweeper cum goal keeper at your back. He's easily the best GK in the world.
