When one super agent is laughing to the bank, the other is working very hard with no reward.

Jorge Mendes has had contact with LFC and a host of other clubs over James Rodriguez but none of them is thinking of paying â¬75m (Sport)

Any Tom n Jerry player in RM will cost > 50m.. Hard to clear dead wood...

James has been very underwhelming. To me, he shouldnt hv moved to real.

To be fair, which player doesn't want to prove himself at Real n esp so for the golden boot winner of the WC! James couldn't hold down a regular place in the Real first X1 so he never was able to show what he is capable of doing on a regular basis.

The players in demand this window are Defensive/central MF, CBs n strikers so James being an attacking MF/no. 10 is not really in demand as most of the top clubs have adequate players of this kind so not really looking forward to strengthen. I hope he gets a break somewhere esp in EPL cos he is a talent I feel worth gambling on but of course the fear is not all South American players adapt well to EPL.

Jorge Mendes may have been overshadowed by Raiola in recent transfer windows but he is has now taken an influential position at Championship side Wolves n neutrals and fans alike are worried as he seems to be having a huge say in player movements at the club. The Ruben Neves transfer is supposedly to put him in the shopping window. Super agents not only earning big $ but now making decisions for player purchases is not healthy at all n a conflict of interest.

Actually willing buyer willing seller, Neves is not an unknown talent, his rise to prominence and his fall from grace at Porto is well known. If Porto want to move him on and no top club in Europe is willing to take a risk on him, I will give Mendes the credit to work out the next best deal for his client.

Rooney rejoined Everton.

Signed a 2 years deal at £150kpw. Hearing Man Utd very steady, paid him the difference between his remaining Man Utd contract and the new Everton deal.

Undisclosed fee. I am quite sure the amount is £0.

If true, @superbored n @Genes nightmare has just come true [:(]  [:(]

Seriously speaking, he not bad lah just that there are better choices (like Morata) and his price is exorbitant. Did Man United lose patience with Real over Morata or they worried Real wants to include De Gea?? We shall see.......

Why nightmare? [dizzy]  [laugh]

He Is decent and still young and probably one of Jose Mourinho's choices. Can't go wrong too far.

WHY LIVERPOOL FANS DO IN FACT NEED A REALITY CHECK

One of my favourite follow on Twitter. Recommended read for all Pool fans.

This is the most realistic piece for a long time. Bang - loud and clear.

Get on with other "equally" important aspects of your life during this transfer window, and don't be befuddled by the media's speculative audacity.

Klopp & Co and the bosses knows what they are doing and let them deliver the final package by start of season. Let those dots eventually connect and the big picture will nicely emerge.

Have belief and faith man. Meanwhile go and chill out.

[My 2 cents reading of the above story]

OFFICIAL: Chelsea have completed the signing of Antonio Rüdiger from Roma

Congrats to Chelsea. Finally get their man.

Worry for Rudiger who claimed to be a victim of racist treatment. He obviously forgotten about what Chelsea fans did in France some years back...

To be fair, it's not only Pool fans who r impatient n get worked up when potential signings don't seem to materialise after tabloid gossip n start to question the Board. Even Mgrs want signings in quick but as I've posted many times, it's not easy for the guy in charge of buying as he has to face reluctant sellers who quote sky high prices, players who r on long contracts thereby giving the selling club an upper hand, agents demanding high fees, overall budget restrained by FFP as transfer funds has been set aside for other targets as well so can't just pay whatever the selling club wants n anyway it's who blinks first but of course delay n u could see your target move to other teams so really difficult.

U shld take a look at the posts by Chelsea fans after Lukaku was stolen under their noses n we talking about a club who is known for paying the going rate but even now restrained. Win some, lose some in transfer market has always been the case n also some stories r intentionally leaked by agents etc with their own agendas so can't believe all that is written. Anyway, end of day we fans all the same, just impatient n want the best for our teams!

Yes Mendes does what he feels is best for Neves so maybe a move to Wolves is best for him rather than stagnate at Porto but I think the point of the article is not so much that but the fact that he seems to be calling the shots on transfers at a club. Paul Lambert was rumoured to disagree with some of the players brought in n this surely undermines the Mgr. As in most articles, we will nvr know the whole story why Wolves allow Mendes into the club but it does raise alarm bells to the neutral.

As an agent, if he is able to convince clubs, be it owners or managers to take his clients, that's his job done. Unless you are telling me he sits on the board and uses his position to force the club to sign his player, then that's a clear conflict of interest. Other than that, I can only say that he is very persuasive :D

Well, if your top target who has expressed his desire to return and your manager clearly wanted him as well was potong jalan in this manner, I can fully understand the meltdown by the Chelsea fanbase.

What is different now with Pool fans, at least on Twitter, is that we have yet to lose our primary targets and the fans are already on meltdown!!! That prompted Dave to write that article. The most ridiculous one was the suggestion that FSG deliberately target these players which we won't sign just to tell the fans that you see, we tried. This consipiracy theory is wrong on so many fronts.
