I think these are two complete issues

 

 

Dislike a comment does not equal to dislike the person

 

 

 

Equally dislike a comment does not equal to cannot be nice to the person

 

 

I thought the dislike button is if you disagree with the particular posting

 

 

Ignore button is if you don't want anything to do with the person

I agree. I don't have high regards for a few folks in MCF but sometimes I still give likes to their posts if it makes sense.

But in those political threads there's always a few who throw personal insults when they don't agree.

Dislike still got ppl cannot take it, when it started it was labeled "Junked". In today's context, I think many would have commit suicide if they were to be "junked" instead of "dislike".

 

Change the name? Any different? Be it junked, dislike, disagree, thumbs down, or any other fancy names, it means the same thing, ppl just cannot accept " you don't agree with me".

 

Will we have such a thread again? I bet you we will, no matter what name you change it to.

I think we can change the button names.

I won't be a like a sissy little coward and secretly stab people in the back with an anonymous

 

dislike and a stupid comment like I don't like you.

 

But I understand there will always be sniping haters and who do not have the balls to post

 

even with their made up nicks.

 

Wouldn't it really fun if one day they add a button to the forum and when you press it

 

all the anonymous dislike nicks will appear. 

 

I am sure this will add a lot of interest and excitement to the forum and increase the

 

volume and post counts and all the advertisers will love the increase in traffic and

 

eyeballs.

 

My suggestion to increase attention to this forum and pump up the volume.

I couldn't care less about anon dislikes as most people here probably know

 

but as a Chief Digital Marketing Officer I cannot let this fabulous opportunity 

 

to make money in digital media go to waste.

 

I now think we should keep the anon dislike and add a "Reveal" button.

 

I think we should also allow other posters to contribute to the bidding process.

 

I would like to contribute $10 each to both @turboflat4 and @vratenza to see

 

who it was that bunknife them.

 

I would also like to bid $1 to see if that @kusje really did dislike me to make me happy

 

as he claimed or did he just take the credit when someone else did all the hard work

 

which I really suspect happened. 

 

 

When you think there are thousands of forum and millions of members

 

this Reveal button will be a real money spinner. Please just remember the

 

originator of the Reveal button as Jamesc as I am sure there will be many

 

people claiming it was their idea. Yeah right.

He took the concept of talent time which is not new but

 

let the public vote in on who is their favourite act by

 

phone poll and paying 30 cents. Some of the mothers

 

of the band members and singers spent thousands

How about converting our points to be digital currency?

 

Points = dollars to be used in the bidding to Reveal or Keep

 

the dislike anonymous. For people that don't have enough

 

points let them top up. This is inline with our national objective
