Workshop take half then taxi driver half, win win for these crooks.

Workshop 1/3 , driver 1/3 , loss adjustor 1/3 .

since the taxi driver took down the detail of the other 2 cars in the accident, he could use this for another accidents. The claim came 3 months later, anything can happen in 3 months.

even if the scam did went thru, the repair claims of $1400+ dont go to the taxidriver, right? It goes to the smrt workshop.

Only the loss of use $60x 4 days goes to the taxidriver, he can shake leg at home for 4 days and get $240.

But is it worth all the trouble for that $240?

Don't think workshop can split the loot leh. Cuz if its claim through insurance that means they go to SMRT workshop. Taxi driver won't be able to get the money. Only the loss of income he can get. Unless the person who wrote the article is saying that SMRT is helping their Taxi drivers with these scams.

But even if that letter notifying them of claim is fake, the other party's insurance company will deal directly with SMRT insurer and not the taxi driver. He still can't get any of the extra money other than the $60 per day for loss of income.
