Quickly go buy la but mostly tourists, not residents there :secret-laugh:

Very good factual review of Forest City. Fast forward to 28:10min can see ppl staying in the blocks. Not exactly a ghost town, more like a quiet town. A good getaway but not stay long term to be honest.

i believe in the 9k units, quite a number are airbnb for short term rental

minus here and there ... probably about 6k-7k occupants?

And they only completed 28k units of their target of 700k units ... huat ah!

Very easy to make money - just need malaysia to lease the land to Sg for 100 years. Sg can build a bridge from Lim Chu Kang end. Sure huat!

Wait - that sounds like HK....

So you think the china 买房养小三大赚一笔story will repeat at forest city?

I thinking of buying one to keep one, but I worry after 10 years price go up I sell the unit, my wife will scold me why only buy one unit and keep one 小三, sld have bought 5 units. So I think to prevent getting scolded later, I sld just go buy 5 units and keep 5 小三 there. [:p][laugh][laugh]

Location

Location

Location

If it is a predominantly local estate, there is no issue with exiting what.

I think there is a bus that goes in there from the Msia CIQ at the 2nd link.

One day when I am in the mood, I will go check it out....

From the video, actually the build quality is decent just based on the general infrastructure.

Just that there is no pull factor to that side. And probably singaporeans would be looking at landed housing for that price.

maybe for security and amenities compare to their landed, not that it is 100% safe, but for the burglars to choose your unit out of the thousands,  you must be very lucky liao [laugh]

Yes. This is what even Malaysian locals tell me cos

1) there is no resale market

2) the property market there enjoys little appreciation

3) currency is so weak that whatever little appreciation you have would have been wiped out by the currency exchange loss.

But if you are a Malaysian, then thats another story.
