Telcos don't understand technology and they don't understand marketing.

They are stupid because they WERE monopolies.

It's like a rich man lazy son. They don't have to work because they just get pocket money.

When there is only one cable company you can tell customers pay my high price or get lost.

Now when there is competition try telling customers pay my high prices or get lost lah.

If not for my parents who’s resistant to change, I would have return their set top boxes and shove it up where the sun don’t shine.

I have since switched over to Singtel TV. No regrets. The TV box can be connected wirelessly, something that Starhub cannot give me a guaranteed answer.

And no additional modem or other boxes, both internet and TV share same infrastructure

Set-top box rental ($6) + content for additional box ($10) .. I mean this time and age, if I want to watch it in my bedroom or in my living room, or even if I want to watch it in a park, it should be as easy as running a software nia, whether on my TV or phone or whatever. Still need to pay for a stupidly slow box, and pay extra for the same content you already paid for.

Singapore is a Smart nation mah.

So smart i need to wait 3 mths for netlink trust to get approval from the authorities to fix a clog external pipe which has nothing to do with me

Goes to show our efficiency

Now they used a device to convert the fibre to co-axial. SO used back the existing wiring.

Yeah I know that. For years I have asked them if my concern can be solved as I do not want to do fibre cables all the way to my master bedroom. Then came along Singtel.

Not that I am a fervent supporter of Singtel but given the "smart options" we have. Another good thing is that whatever recorded in the bedroom TV box can be watched outside and vice versa... how about that...the living room TV box being the physical recorder.

Then many many years back in South Korea, my wife can just walk into one shop and choose from the many network providers they have. No need to skip around different services providers. When can we reach this efficiency level? Smart nation.... probably smart to use technology to suck more money out of people...e.g. ERP 2.0....I hope not

Both are just as shitty, I agreed.

Smart Nation, First World Country all coined up by them.

I find Japanese women nicer/more natural beauty than Korean ones now.

Japanese women like stock car with a bit of subtle bodykits, Korean ones like heavily modified with huge wings, blah blah blah etc.

Notwithstanding both good to look at..... oh ya Japanese documentaries.
